Knife- issued automatically in the second chapter.

semi-automatic pistol- in the process of passing the same second chapter, you will find yourself in the house (after receiving the knife). The gun is in the nightstand near the door. This pistol is your first firearm in the game and is simply impossible to miss.

Axe- a weapon that replaces a knife, which breaks after the first use. They can be picked up from the corpses of opponents or simply found on the ground. The first hand ax can be found on the side road northeast of the safe house. Not bad for the early game, when there can be a shortage of ammo.

Crossbow- can be found in the process of passing the third chapter. From the safe house, follow to the southwestern part of the map. Here at the end of the street near the intersection you will see a white car, and behind it is a box with a crossbow and a single bolt to shoot.

laser pistol- Go to the western part of the Residential Zone. There is a parking lot here - climb it by jumping over the fence and search the body. This is a good weapon for medium distances, from which you can make accurate shots.

Shotgun- everything is located in the same third chapter. From the safe house, follow the narrow path to the northeast. House number 322 with a green door will stand here. Sniper rifle- early in the third chapter, after leaving the safe house, there is a two-story building on the left. Silenced Handgun- A pistol that doesn't do much damage, but is great for luring opponents. To get it, you need to complete the secondary building “Return to the Internet”, and then go to a safe house.

Assault rifle- can be obtained in the safe house in the thirteenth chapter.

Magnum- To obtain this powerful weapon, you must complete the entire story on any difficulty level and start a new game.

Brass knuckles- also go through the whole game plot, but this time on the Madness difficulty level.

You can wield not only conventional firearms. You will also have a deadly crossbow at your disposal.

The Warden Crossbow is a unique weapon that fires different types of bolts (special ammo) to suit different playstyles. You can set up a trap with electric bolts, move silently with freeze and harpoon bolts, or create a hell of a mess with explosives. You decide.


Walking around Union and exploring the buildings, you'll find a few bolts, but if you want to use the crossbow regularly, you'll have to craft ammo with your own handles. Just don't forget to collect any debris: fuse, black powder, nails, metal pipes, capacitors and, of course, ordinary gunpowder.

IN passing the There will come a point in Evil Within 2 when you can't go any further without a crossbow, and it's better to get it sooner rather than later. Explosive. It is not difficult to guess that with the help of them you can make a lot of noise, tearing enemies to pieces. They are useful against large opponents, as they do their best to avoid explosions. In addition to flying nails, the surroundings can catch fire, but be careful not to fry yourself. Harpoon. Silent bolts are great for stealth attacks and limb ripping. Save them for when it's best to go stealth. A few lie in the Northern Refuge, as well as near the location of the crossbow itself.

Chapter 1

We play as a young detective Sebastian. Ahead, our house caught fire, we urgently need to rescue Lily's daughter from it. The front door is locked, we pass through the window on the right. During this time, Sebastian managed to get on the trail of the Mobius organization, which started all these experiments on the fusion of consciousnesses by the STEM machine. Kidman reveals that our daughter is alive and is being used as the central mind in new system STEM This system worked great, but a week ago it began to malfunction, and now the organization is asking us to fix the consequences of the problem in order to save their daughter. For the second time, we are immersed in a virtual world woven from hundreds of human consciousnesses and memories.

Chapter 2

Police station

Chapter 3

O'Neill's hideout

Crossroads with a jeep

Survival Knife

A large hunting knife that is suitable for stealth killing of enemies in close combat (you need to approach the enemy from behind). Axes

This melee weapon is consumable, as it breaks after the first use. However, it can replace a knife in close combat. Crossbow (Warden Crossbow)

The first Overseer's Crossbow can be found in the southwest side of the Residential Area. You will be able to get here almost at the very beginning of the game. During Chapter 3, when you finally get to Union, you will be given a goal to get to O'Neill's hideout.

When you leave the safe house and take a few steps towards the road, a short cut-scene will start showing the Union falling apart. At this point, just follow the street to its end. If you pick up your communicator, you'll find a fallen Mobius operative. When you check the map, you will see that there is a weapon near this agent. The crossbow can be found right behind the white Humvee, not far from what looks like a roadblock. It lies on a gray box next to a dead agent. You'll also find one Shock Bolt here, which we recommend you save for boss fights.

The Overseer's Crossbow can be modified at special miles, which are located in shelters. Once you pick up the weapon and collect enough of its additional parts, you will be able to upgrade the crossbow. We advise you to reduce the time required for reloading, as well as increase the rate of fire, ammunition and power. In addition, it is worth finding an upgrade based on the skills of the protagonist. To do this, head to Sebastian's room (broken mirror, not far from the shelter) and sit on a chair at the end of the corridor.

Sawed-Off Shotgun

When completing the task of tracking the source of the girl's voice using the communicator, you will find yourself in the Residential Zone. This is the starting area of ​​the game world. After meeting with the Moebius operative and finding the first hideout, head north to the side path. Walk along this road and go to the second house on the left side, where you will find another operative lying right in front of the entrance to the building. Enter the White House (322 Cedar Ave) and go through the door on your right. In the next room, go along the left edge to another room. Go through the new door and look for a hatch that leads to the basement.

On the lower floor you will find a small control room. Approach the computer on the table and use it to go to Marrow: Armory. In the next area, there is only one place where you can go - to another computer. Use it to get into a new room. The sawn-off shotgun is located at the end of this last building. To access it, you need to go down the other side of the first room, go through the door to the left of the elevator, crawl through the tunnel, use another door and finally adjust the amplitude and frequency on the console. Behind the door, which opens through the console, is an armory. In the corner of the armory on the ground is a case with a sawn-off shotgun. Once you have obtained this weapon, you can check its upgrades and stats in the hideout.

Laser-Sighted Handgun

The first cannon with a laser sight can be found in the Residential District. This is where you will get when passing the third chapter. At some point, you will need to trace the location of the Mobius term. He will lead you to the first hideout.

Exit this safe room and head northwest. In this area, you will find a wide street approaching the edge of the map. Follow it until you reach an auto parts store. You will see it from afar, as bright neon signs are installed on it. Next to this shop, find a closed parking lot surrounded by a chain-link fence.

Jump over the metal fence and look for the body near the white truck. Approach the corpse to find a weapon. At this moment, a monster with unique acrobatic skills may attack you. The cannon will still lie on the ground, so you can pick it up and immediately attack the monster. Then we advise you to definitely modify this weapon in order to improve its characteristics.

Sniper Rifle

In fact, you will find a broken sniper rifle, so get ready for the fact that in the future you will have to fix it. So, after starting chapter 3 and visiting the hideout in the Residential District, turn the camera to the left side. You will notice a two-story brick building. On its right side is a ladder, which you can climb up. Here you will find several more yellow ladders that lead to the roof. Keep climbing until you reach the roof. Then turn left and go to the edge. You will notice a dead body belonging to a Moebius operative, next to which will be a non-working sniper rifle.

Flamethrower

To get a flamethrower, you need to deal with the boss that you will face at the end of the eleventh chapter. True, this weapon will be broken and you will not be able to use it until you reach the thirteenth chapter.

In Chapter 13, you have to defeat two Harbingers to get fuel tanks for the flamethrower. One of them is located near the starting shelter, and the second is south of the shelter next to the Diner. Harbingers are easy to spot - they are masked psychos with flamethrowers.

After killing these two opponents, you can finally assemble a working flamethrower. Be sure to pick it up in the next chapter and use it when fighting Laura for the "I'll Take You Down Myself" achievement.

How to improve weapons?

To upgrade your weapon you will need a workbench. You will also need weapon parts. You can find one such workbench in the offices of Sebastian Castellanos and in other shelters scattered around game world. As for weapon parts, they can be lying on the ground and various objects right in the open air, and sometimes fall out of opponents or be hidden inside boxes (containers) that can be opened or destroyed.

As with every item in The Evil Within 2, weapon parts are limited. That is why their correct application is of high importance. If you see a shiny item, then pick it up. Soon you will collect enough parts for an upgrade. When that happens, it's time to figure out what's best to pump. And in this regard, we have some advice.

Upgrade as soon as possible

For a very long time during the early stages, I believed that it would be irrational to spend precious weapon parts on improving the pistol that appeared in The Evil Within 2 from the beginning. Why waste these items to upgrade some of the weakest weapons in the game?

Assuming so, I was wrong - do not waste time and purchase an upgrade as soon as the opportunity arises.

Each weapon upgrade you make is linked to all weapons of the same category. Essentially, by upgrading a regular pistol, you are buying upgrades for an explosive, silenced pistol, or laser sight. The same applies to the category of shotguns - sawn-off, double-barreled, long-barreled.

Thus, try to upgrade weapons as early as possible. But what exactly? Good question!

Upgrade the weapon you use the most

The Evil Within 2 allows you to play the game as you see fit. If you want to act covertly, then just fine. If you like shouting "Hurrah" to run into a crowd of monsters - well, it's up to you! It turns out that the weapon you decide to upgrade depends on your play style.

If you often use a pistol, then focus on pumping it. If you're a big fan of sawn-off shotguns, then spend weapon parts on the shotgun category. The same goes for firing the Guardian crossbow. Although in the latter case it is worth recognizing that upgrades of this weapon practically do not justify themselves. In other words, put gun parts in the gun that has the trigger under your index finger.

This has another huge plus. If you start distributing parts across all weapon categories, you will soon find yourself wasting precious resources on tools that you never use at all. A great example would be a sniper rifle. How many times have you already used it in a game? It is very powerful, but limited in use (especially inside buildings). The best investments in the game will be pistols and shotguns.

Advice. Choose your favorite weapon and upgrade it as soon as possible. Especially the pistol. Pistols and shotguns (especially the latter) are not as powerful by default as we would like them to be. That is why the upgrades purchased on time will be of primary importance in survival.
