Our planet has become a real wasteland. But not because of a nuclear war or any other catastrophes that happened through the fault of people, but because of the increased solar activity at the beginning of the twenty-first century, which led to a real cataclysm.

Only a group of people survived this apocalypse. And their descendants have to survive on a vast territory. Scorched and devastated. Will the human race be able to continue its existence in such conditions?

Of course, the project was almost immediately dubbed a clone of Fallout and other similar projects. But it has many of its own unique features and characteristics. Although in general the universe in which users have to fight for their place under the sun is very similar to the world of "" and other post-apocalyptic universes.

It remains only to wait for the final release to be convinced of this.

The only, perhaps, interesting solution in this regard can be considered a rather old, domestic, step-by-step "Time zero". But that was the case until recently.

The SKIES project has been in early access on steam since 2016.

The SKIES or, in Russian, “celestial” is an MMORPG in a post-apocalyptic style with a non-linear plot. The project is being developed by a studio from Luhansk Eforb and has already managed to collect good reviews on Steam even at the early access stage.

The story of the game takes place at the beginning of the 21st century, when solar activity has increased dramatically. In two weeks, the world collapsed, all power sources, governments and infrastructure of cities were destroyed. Mankind descended into darkness... And only 150 years later, the sun's rays illuminated the Earth, launching a new round in the development of mankind.

Of the features of the game, one can single out a large open world - 12 square kilometers, which they promise to expand to 200 in the future. An interesting role-playing system, where, based on the decisions made, the appropriate choices will appear in the dialogues. Many types of earnings from employment as a worker in a factory, to hiring people and running your own business. Well, what about any sandbox without crafting? Weapons, uniforms, construction, trade items - everything is available to create with your own hands.

But the PvP in the game is quite peculiar, there are both clan wars and regular skirmishes, but the most interesting, it seems, are battles in arenas with several modes: capture the flag, save territories and survive.

In general, right after the first entry into the game, it is felt that our developers were primarily inspired by the universe of the Fallout game.

Definitely pleased with the presence of European, Asian and of course Russian servers. As well as the presence of views from the third and first person.

The only thing that, perhaps, does not please me personally, is that quest NPCs periodically disappear in the game and in order for them to reappear in the game, you need to restart it.
In general, the game is quite ambitious and it definitely has a greater future, because at least someone should already create a good post-apocalyptic mmo.
