Now let's look at what awaits us in the labyrinth itself.

One of the main dangers that we have already met and passed through which we could already practice is traps. With each subsequent labyrinth, they are more and more difficult. Once you learn how to overcome any traps without any problems, especially in an uber lab, it will already success.

It is important to know that traps do not care what your defense is, they hit as a percentage of health, so everyone dies on them.

What are the traps:

Various types of saws / rotating blades. I drank a lot, the meaning is the same - physical damage that is not reduced by armor, there is an opinion that it shakes you as a percentage of hp. Therefore, never play a race with saws, try to avoid them or run very fast through them. If you hit a saw and panic, and start running with the saw trying to overtake it, you are dead. Flasks with an instant heal are what can really save on a saw if a split second is not enough.

In my opinion saws are the most dangerous traps.

Dart. They fly from the walls, from the columns, and as soon as you slow down, some saw is already glad that you will not run away from it. There is little damage, but there is a lot of slowdown.

Fire. The stove opens and the floor becomes fiery. This is probably the simplest thing it should be easy not to stand in the fire, right?

Blades from the floor. Well, everything is simple here, gape - and it pierces you, one-time large physical damage is applied + blood flow is applied. Where they appear in the floor, holes are visible.

The blades in the doors are trying to catch you at the moment when you pass through the doorway. it is better not to rush and wait for the trap to work.

There are also razor blades. This is such a thing that knocks on the ground at regular intervals. I missed the moment - catch a one-time big damage.

On the tests of the uber labs, we will meet fonts for the first time - they can slow us down, cause blood flow, remove charges, just injure - in general, they cause inconvenience.

How to open and get into the labyrinth?

Boss battles

In the main labyrinth, there are three difficult battles with Izar, who has versatility and image change, that is, with each battle, he will have assistants, but constantly different.

  • First stage. At this stage, statues appear that will begin to help him. But they do not appear immediately, where there are two options for how to deal with the statues. This temporarily neutralize and destroy them permanently. After you find the only solution of them, then you will have to inflict subsequent damage already on the boss. If you do not deal with the statues, then he will have additional protection in the final moments, where it will not be so easy to defeat him.
  • Second phase. At this stage, he is helped by small bosses, which are not as effective as the main boss, but can quite deal good damage. Their appearance occurs gradually, where you need to adhere to the same tactics. We remove the assistants, and then we straighten them with the boss.
  • Third stage. At this stage, it is important for you to take a position so that the traps do not reach you in any way and can safely deal damage to the boss. But this is only at the moment when you have reached this stage without assistants, that is, you have dealt with them in the previous stages.

And also it is worth remembering that in one of the versions there is Izar, who knows how to use the teleport against you directly to the traps, which will complicate the task of fighting the boss.

After passing the third stage, you find yourself on new map. In it, you have the right to enchant some items, take an additional subclass, open chests that can be opened using the keys you found during the passage of the labyrinths.

It should be borne in mind that in the labyrinths such zones sometimes appear, which are called the "beast". If you find this zone and destroy it, then the future boss will be a much weaker opponent. Although this will make things easier for you, there won’t be much adrenaline in the passage, so it’s up to you to decide.

Traps in the Ruler's Labyrinth Path of Exile

Undoubtedly, there are traps in the labyrinths, but not of one type, but of several, which are not only dangerous, but also deadly things. Where they can take away not only the state of the shield, but also health. Most of the traps can be found in Trials of Ascension, where a considerable number of such traps are shown.

In some square areas there are spikes that are not immediately visible, because they appear after a certain amount of time. Moreover, some of these traps appear only when you step on them. The damage is about a quarter of your total health, which means that it includes not only health, but also your shield. Stepping on a trap slows you down for a couple of seconds and you get good bleeding. This type of trap is the most harmless, because its repeated action does not pass immediately, but after some time. Moreover, the damage is applied one-time and does not continue its effect. Such damage dealt can be repaired with flasks filled with health.

To find out how this type of traps work, you can look at the locations of the first stage, or more precisely, in the Prison Dungeon.

Saws are able to move along a given path, repeating their actions over and over again. Where the damage can be done over time, but it's much more effective than regular spikes. Where damage is not important in this case. Sometimes saws can be temporarily turned off by finding and turning off the lever. To find out how they work, then go to the map of the second stage in the Chamber of Sins 2.

Rotating blades have a complex system of movement and impact on the player who is on the floor. If the player comes into contact with this trap, they will receive devastating damage, from which it will be difficult to recover. Where the trajectory of their movement can constantly change. But everything can be temporarily disabled if you find the levers. They can be seen in the Crypt in the second stage.

Melting traps are empty squares that are gradually replenished with magma and this takes a certain amount of time. The magma kill takes 5 seconds to heal instantly, but you can get rid of it if you drink a vial of health and leave that trap. Such damage does not pass through monsters, because they resist fire. Such traps are located in the Crematorium, and this is the third stage.

Blade Guardians, they are quite large traps that are impossible to miss and deal significant damage, damage can be gradual. The closer you are to the center of this trap, the damage will increase. In this case, the trap changes its trajectory, which complicates the passage of the maze. It is they who are in the Catacombs in the third stage.

Flying darts, a trap that shoots only small projectiles, it can change its direction. Projectiles are fired after a given period of time. The damage dealt is not so great, but you can survive a few shots, while he will slow you down. Such traps will be found on walls and pillars, some of them are activated by pressing certain plates. To evaluate the shooting of traps, you can visit the Green Maze in the third stage.

Watchmen, those traps that cause harmful damage to you and the environment for a certain time, and such traps are found only at level 75.

Additional (secret) traps in the maze

Of course, there is another mass of traps that are less known to people. One of these traps are spinning blades that rotate vertically in doors.

Players are constantly sorted by the system, and this depends on the amount of time spent on passing the maze. To get sole leadership in the maze, one needs to go through the maze. Moreover, the labyrinth must be completed before the end of the day, until there are no changes. As a result, you will get twelve leaders in labyrinths at different difficulty levels.

  • To play in the list of regular players, you must not go over the level 40 bar.
  • To play on the list of violent players, you must not go over the level 60 bar.
  • To play on the list of ruthless players, you need to be level 60 and above.

At midnight, the fate of all players who decide to take part is decided, where the fun begins, or, to be more precise, the distribution of prizes, awards and other interesting things. And it all depends on the complexity of the level, the time spent, and so on. Moreover, rewards are awarded to some players during the day, and this is done about 4 times.

How to get into the maze

Boss

In the main labyrinth, you will have 3 fights with the main boss Izaro. It has several different versions, with different kinds of helpers.

First phase. In the first phase, statues help him. They appear gradually. In one variation, you can kill, in another only temporarily deactivate. Kill/deactivate the statues, and only then deal damage to the boss. Otherwise, for each remaining active assistant, he will receive bonuses in the final battle.

Second phase. Now mini-bosses will help him. They also appear in sequence. Kill them first, and only then beat the main boss.

Third phase. If you didn't kill the helpers from the previous phases the boss will be significantly buffed. There will also be traps in the boss room. The best tactic having an advantage in level is to stand in one place safe from traps and beat the boss.

Even so, remember that in some versions, Izaro can teleport the player directly into traps.

After the third phase, you find yourself in a location where:

  • Can cast an enchantment (once per playthrough)
  • Take a subclass/additional 2 points (if passing for the first time)
  • Open chests. To open them, keys are required, which can only be found in the labyrinth itself.

Also in the labyrinth itself there is a special zone where the "beast" is located. Killing him will make the boss easier. But, in my opinion, passing traps is more dangerous than a "slightly" enhanced boss, which is not a problem with pumping.

Do not rush

Perhaps the main advice in passing traps is not to rush. The principle of the traps and how to pass them is not difficult to understand, for this you just need to stop for a few seconds and watch them.

Maze navigation

At the entrance to each location of the labyrinth, there will be a special stand next to it, clicking on which will open the map of the labyrinth and your current location.

High level

A high level in the passage of the labyrinth will only help in the fight with the boss. Traps, according to my experiments, deal damage as a % of health, and also ignore armor. Therefore, neither a large amount of health nor armor will help you run through traps with your eyes closed.

Movement Skills

Some traps can be jumped over, some difficult places can be “flyed” in seconds using movement skills. Be sure to have at least one in your arsenal.

vials

Some especially dangerous traps, in addition to damage, impose bleeding on the character, so it is especially important to have bleeding removal on many, and preferably on all bottles. Also, it is very important to have the instant recovery property on most health regeneration flasks.

Due to the return to the city, you will have to go through the labyrinth first, so it is better to take more vials to restore health.

Trap Damage Reduction

The only thing (from what I was able to find out) that can reduce the damage of traps is Endurance charges.

Monsters

Don't kill the monsters in the labyrinth unless absolutely necessary - they will help restore the charges on the flasks when needed.

Also, monsters allow you to gain Endurance charges.

Health regeneration

As mentioned above, the amount of health does not increase your survivability for traps, but what does increase it is health regeneration. If it is possible to take additional passive skills for regeneration before passing the labyrinth take it.

Each new day, the maze is generated in a new way, and the version of Izaro also changes. If you can't get past the maze or defeat the boss try doing it the next day.
