What to do with pokemon in pokemon go. What to do with identical Pokemon in Pokemon Go? Nothing is tracked when the app is sleeping

Pokemon Go is a game for mobile devices on Android and iOS platforms (Windows Phone users were left out of work), tied to geolocation and augmented reality technology.

The gameplay assumes that the player goes for a walk around the real world to catch virtual monsters and prove to the whole area that he is the coolest Pokemon trainer in the area, capturing special points-stadiums (Gyms).

The smartphone screen becomes a window into a parallel world inhabited by extraordinary creatures. Using GPS navigation, the device monitors the location of the player and notifies if there are wild Pokémon in the area. If a pocket monster appears on the map, you can try to catch it, and then you will have to catch it, aiming with the smartphone camera against the background of the real environment. If you see a person on the street suddenly stop and start twisting their smartphone in all directions - do not hesitate, he also plays Pokemon Go.

Beginning of the game

At the beginning of the game, you will need to log in using your Google account or Pokemon Club (this option does not work for everyone). If you have previously played Ingress and want to use the same nickname in the game, then you need to log in with the same E-Mail that is used in Ingress, otherwise, when choosing a nickname, there will be a message that such a nickname is already taken. After choosing the color of clothes, hair, skin, a map will open for you - a real map of the area on which you need to walk with your feet. Three test Pokémon will be “thrown up” right there, which will need to be caught. After catching the first Pokémon, you will be prompted to enter a nickname (the nickname must be unique and should not be the name of one of the Pokémon).

To search and catch a Pokemon, oddly enough, you will have to move around the city (in real space) with gps turned on and the game. Camera control tap + swipe - rotate, double tap + swipe - zoom in / out.
The appearance of Pokemon is not tied to PokeStops (portals), they appear randomly not far from your path. It is noticed that near the arenas the appearance of Pokemon is more frequent.

To search at the bottom right there is an indicator that there are Pokémon somewhere nearby. When you click on it, a window with more detailed information will open (when you select a specific Pokémon in the nearby window, when you move in its direction, the window will flash a green frame):

Be careful on your way - there are obstacles in the real world
(walls, fences, pillars, ponds, open manholes, vehicles…).

Be careful and don't forget about it!!!

To catch the found pokemon, you need to tap (click) on it, when it appears in front of you, you need to throw a pokeball at it and get into a green or yellow circle (after catching the pokemon can get out of the trap - you have to catch it again or leave it):

To catch "difficult" Pokémon (with a yellow circle), feed them a berry (taken from the Razz Berry backpack, you can get them from Pokéstops and when leveling up from 8) and they will be easier to catch. In addition to pokeballs, there are also Great Balls, Ultra Balls and Master Balls that make it much easier to catch.

The color of the sight circle means the difficulty of catching: green - easy, yellow - difficult, orange - very hard, red - unreal)). The size of the circle also affects the chance of catching a Pokémon - the narrower the circle, the higher the chance of catching. Pokeball can be served twisted, then when caught, there will be an xp bonus (see XP table and FAQ).
After capturing a Pokémon, it will appear in your Pokémon storage (not to be confused with inventory).

At the moment, not all types of Pokemon have been introduced into the game, but about 147 types. You can catch and keep multiple Pokémon of the same species in storage.
For the caught Pokemon give game points (expirience points - XP). The amount of XP for different Pokémon caught is different. Also, XP is given for collected items, capturing poke-stops and battles (more on this later). A certain amount of collected XP allows you to get the next level.

TEAM GUIDE

Upon reaching level 5, you need to choose a team.
There are 3 teams in the game, indicated by three colors: yellow (instinct), blue (mystic), red (valor). In order for the team selection to appear, it is necessary that the arena is in your area of action, click on it, the leaders of each team will appear in front of you and tell you what the “strength” is: - Spark: Hello, my name is Spark and I am the leader of the Instinct team. (Yellow). Pokémon are creatures with excellent intuition. I bet the secret of this intuition lies in the process of their emergence from the egg. Trusting instincts - you will not lose!

Blanche: I am Blanche, the leader of the Mystic team. (Blue). The wisdom of Pokémon is immeasurably deep. I study the reasons for their evolution. Thanks to a calm analysis of the situation, it is impossible to lose!

— Candela: I'm Candela, leader of Team Valor! (Red). Pokémon are stronger than humans, and they have a heart too! I'm researching how to enhance Pokémon's natural strength in search of true strength! There is no doubt that the Pokémon trained by our team are the strongest in battle!

Q: Is it possible to rename a Pokémon?

O: You can. Either after capture, or in the personal settings menu.

Q: How do I get extra Pokémon?

A: Catching Pokemon in Pokemon Go is as follows: traveling through the real world on the game map, players will fall into small clearings and hear the rustle of grass. A Pokémon will appear on the map and by clicking on it, you can start a taming battle. Battles to tame a Pokemon are very peculiar. When you throw your Poké Ball, a colored ring will appear around the Pokémon. It will resize after each capture attempt. It is best to throw the ball through the smallest ring and then the Pokémon will submit faster.

Everyone went crazy around - on social networks they discuss not politics, parties and a new series, but Pokémon. If you do not understand and do not want to understand what is happening, then simply do not read further. Because we are, as they say, gonna go deep down into that madness.

So, you already play Pokemon GO or are you just waiting for the Russian release, but you don’t understand all the mechanics or in general - what can you do in this game? Don't worry, we'll explain everything.

If suddenly you thought that the game was about collecting Pokémon in the police stations in a race, then this is not so. Pokemon GO is PvP where collecting monsters on a real world map is just a way to diversify and strengthen your army. We'll cover the mechanics of direct asynchronous multiplayer in a bit, but for now let's start simple.

How to catch a Pokemon in Pokemon GO

When you walk in the real world, moving around the game map in this way, you will come across different Pokemon that can be caught using a Pokeball. As soon as a monster appears on the map around you, poke your finger at it and start the combat mode. What to do first - disable AR mode. While there are so many hilarious photos of this mode on the internet, it's actually less convenient and also eats up more phone battery (believe me, you'll need it). As soon as you see a Pokemon in front of you, pinch your finger on the Pokeball in front of you and throw, giving it momentum to set a certain flight path. Some Pokémon are closer to you, some are farther away.

As soon as you hold your finger on the Poké Ball, a white ring will appear on the Pokémon with a second moving colored ring inside it. The color of the inner ring indicates the difficulty of catching a Pokémon: green - easy, yellow - medium, red - difficult. With a red ring, it may take you a lot of attempts to catch a Pokémon.

It is optimal if you hit the Pokemon exactly in the place where its inner ring closes. Moreover, the smaller the colored ring and the more accurate the throw with a hit inside the ring, the more likely it is to receive a Nice, Great or Excellent bonus (additional experience points for the character).

Sometimes a Pokémon can break out of a Poké Ball immediately after being caught. It doesn't matter, just catch it again and try to do it with a slightly different timing to make sure you get Great or Excellent - this will give you extra experience and also increase your chances of catching the Pokémon.

And the Pokemon can run away from you right during the battle or immediately after jumping out of the Pokeball. As far as we know, no one has yet figured out the exact reasons that affect the escape.

Try to catch new Pokemon that you have not seen before, because for this they give an extra 500 XP. And so for the capture of each you will be given 100 XP, another 50 XP for the Great Throw (described above).

Pokémon are found in a variety of places in your city/village/field/mountain/desert. Their types roughly depend on the area, as well as on the time of day. In parks and forests, you will come across more forest Pokémon (plants, worms, butterflies, women), in the city - more city ones (rats, birds, ghosts), and in the park - park ones (mimes, fish, crabs).

IMPORTANT: in sparsely populated areas where there are few Pokemon GO users, monsters will come across to you less often. And in crowded places, like a large tourist center, a store or a city center - more often. There are already a lot of screenshots on reddit with situations where people stumbled upon a crowd of Pokémon in some kind of passage place, like a gas station.

In the lower right corner of the main interface there is a special Pokemon tracking, which shows how far away from you this or that monster is. You can open this module, tap on the desired Pokémon and try to walk in the real world to see if the number of tracks decreases (three is far, one is close). The closer the Pokémon is to you, the less traces remain in the tracking menu. One track, judging by the testimony of the players, is approximately 40 meters.

At level 12, you will be given new Great Pokeballs, which will allow you to catch powerful and rare Pokemon faster and more likely. At level 20, the game will give out even cooler Ultra Pokeballs, which, as you understand, are needed for even cooler Pokemon.

What is CP in Pokemon GO

One of the main measures of Pokemon strength is Combat Power. This is the cumulative average value of all known Pokemon parameters, such as its hit points, height, size, hitting power. Roughly speaking, Pokemon of the same type with the same CP will deal the same amount of damage points during a PvP battle. By the way, in your catalog of available Pokemon, you can sort the collected monsters according to various parameters, including CP.

Try to keep mostly the Pokémon with the highest CP in your collection (so that you have a base army of 15-30 powerful Pokémon), but at the same time, if possible, collect “garbage” with low power - you can also put these poor fellows into action, about that a little bit later.

Your Pokémon card has an arc that shows the CP limit for that monster according to your character level. If the arc is full, then this means that you cannot improve such a Pokémon at this level. By raising the level of the character, you will again get the opportunity to improve the Pokémon.

Your level in Pokemon GO

For various activities, you will receive experience points that will help you upgrade your character to a higher level. The level primarily affects the power of the Pokémon you meet along the way. At the fifth level, you will mostly come across Pokemon with 30-90 CP, but at the eighth - already with 70-200 CP. For each new level, the game gives you quite important inventory items from the master's shoulder, about them also a little later.

Almost every Pokemon has two or even three evolutionary forms. You can catch both an already evolved Pokémon and a monster at the basic stage of development. Each of the Pokemon (within the 1-2-3 stages of evolution) has its own special resource - candy. For capturing a Pokémon, you get 1-10 candies of its type (usually about 2-3 pieces), which you can later spend on the following purposes: strengthening a Pokémon of this type or its evolution.

In addition, the game has a transfer mechanic. You are essentially selling an unwanted Pokémon for one candy. That's why we suggested picking up trash Pokémon above whenever possible, because you can send them back home immediately for one candy of their kind. To make a transfer, select an unwanted Pokemon, scroll down and click on the Transfer button, which is located after the map where you caught the Pokemon.

At first, try not to spend candy on strengthening Pokemon (at least up to level 10 for sure), since not only candy is spent on increasing CP and other parameters, but also 600 stardust (it is also obtained by catching Pokemon, about 100-300 pieces per catch).

But you can easily lower these candies for evolution, because from it you get extremely positive results: 500 XP for your character, as well as strengthening the existing Pokemon (try to evolve more or less strong individuals, even if it is a garbage species like rats or worms).

Try to evolve powerful Pokémon at higher levels. Ideally, when you have a base monster with a very high CP (preferably as high as possible for your level) and a good special attack (more on that later), then you can evolve it into a more powerful version, and also subsequently feed it with star candies. dust for reinforcement.

Your backpack fits a whole bunch of items: Pokeballs, potions for healing and resurrecting Pokemon, poisonous berries for weakening, attraction modules and other joys of a young trainer.

The most interesting for us are items to attract Pokemon. There is an essence in the form of a white and green flying saucer and a module in the form of a purple chip.

You can use Essence anytime, anywhere to attract Pokémon to your character for the next 30 minutes. This is convenient if you are sitting at work or school, you can’t really walk around. In half an hour, from three to ten Pokémon of very different strengths will come running to you. They can come running as completely garbage, and quite rare, as lucky!

With the module, the story is much more interesting: you can use it at the pokestop (blue columns on the map at various local attractions). The module works in the same way as the essence, but spreads the effect to all players. That is why there are a lot of stories on the Internet when cafes give discounts to customers if they have this module working, or the cafes themselves turn it on several times a day, openly declaring this on their social networks.

Both the module and the essence can be purchased with in-game currency. And you can get for the level of your character. In-game currency is earned in gyms (gyms) or bought with real money.

It is not worth buying Pokeballs for currency, because they fall out abundantly when you visit a PokeStop (you need to spin the disk in its menu, 2-8 Pokeballs will fall out, as well as other useful items). In addition, pokeballs fall off for each character level (10-20 pieces). As a result, if you are not completely crooked and do not spend 10-20 Pokeballs to catch one Pokemon, the number of balls you will only increase - you will even have to throw them away to make room in your backpack.

Items that heal and restore Pokemon (Potion and Revive) will appear in your backpack - they also often come across at PokeStops, and also fall in large numbers per character level.

There are special berries that help catch difficult Pokémon (with a red or yellow ring during the capture). Once you feed them this berry, the next Poké Ball will have a much higher chance of being caught.

Hatching eggs in Pokemon GO

Sometimes you will find eggs at Pokéstops. In order to endure it, you need to put the egg in the incubator. By default, you have one, but you can buy a few more with in-game currency, or wait until you drop one per character level. Purchased and drop-down incubators are able to take out a limited number of eggs (usually three pieces), and the one that is given by default is an infinite number. It would be good for you to have 2-3-4 incubators at once so that you can hatch several eggs at once.

The mechanics of gestation is simple: put an egg in an incubator and walk in the real world with an open application such a distance as indicated - 2, 5 or 10 kilometers. The game clearly has anti-cheating mechanisms built in, as cycling can stop adding mileage.

Naturally, in an egg for 2 kilometers, some not very cool Pokemon will fall out to you. But, judging by the stories of level 12-14 players, really worthwhile and sometimes quite rare Pokemon fall out of large eggs for 10 km.

Factions and PvP in Pokemon GO

Upon reaching the fifth level, you will be able to visit the training hall (hereinafter simply “jim”) - these are such large buildings on the map, do not miss it. In it, you will be prompted to choose one of three factions - blue, yellow or red. Ask your friends, especially those with whom you can obviously hang out with and play Pokemon GO, which faction they chose. It makes sense to take a faction that is popular in your company, because then it will be more fun to play together.

As soon as Jim is captured by a player of some faction, he can leave his Pokémon in him, which will guard the territory. When visiting a Gym captured by players from your faction, you can leave your Pokémon in it to help the first player (if there is room) or practice by fighting the guarding Pokémon. Defeating a friendly Pokémon will give you experience points for the character, as well as increase Jim's reputation.

By the way, about reputation points: in fact, they show Jim's defensive power. The fact is that by defeating all the Pokémon left by the players of the other faction, you will remove only part of the reputation points. Although even defeating at least one left Pokemon will also remove a little bit of reputation points. And most likely, you will have to fight several battles (from two to four) in order to eventually reduce the reputation to zero and make the Jim neutral. The reputation of a friendly Jim can again be raised with the help of training battles, as well as leaving more powerful Pokémon there to help the owner of the hall.

The best option for capturing Jim is to arrange a siege with your faction friends. Especially if the power of the Pokémon left in the Jim is about equal to yours or slightly stronger. Two or three of you will quickly reduce the reputation points of the hall and be able to leave your Pokémon in it.

By the way, if you managed to capture and hold Jim for 21 hours, then this will bring you a solid bonus in the form of in-game currency and stardust (the same one that is needed to increase the power of Pokemon). But, as you know, it is VERY DIFFICULT to do this.

Battles in Pokemon GO

Well, here we have reached the most important and difficult moment in such a popular game today. The Pokemon battle takes place, as we wrote above, in Jims. Moreover, it can be one on one (in the case of training with a monster left by a comrade-in-arms) or a group against a group. If you attack a Jim captured by an opposing faction, you can set up six of your own against their Pokémon. When choosing your attacking team, carefully examine the Pokemon left in the Jim and place monsters of the appropriate type against them so that you do not get a situation where you are defeated only because of the dominant type of Pokemon. Read about the types of Pokemon in the next section of the article.

Pokemon battles are pretty much the same as in other mobile games like Infinity Blade: you attack and dodge. Tap on the enemy monster to attack, swipe left and right to dodge the attack. Keep in mind that everything happens in real time and very quickly. Often you will have to choose between dodges and a constant attack. As soon as your Pokémon's health is low, it is removed from the game and the next monster from your selected group appears in order. At the same time, the health of the enemy Pokemon remains at the same level (that is, if 1/40 HP is left, then it will remain on the next monster).

Each of the Pokemon has a strong attack. Moreover, it may differ for the same Pokemon, this is an absolutely random parameter. You can look at the attack set on your Pokémon roster. Strong Attacks consume a special gauge that sits below your Pokémon's health bar and builds up as you deal and receive damage during battle. To activate a strong attack, you just need to hold your finger on the opponent's Pokemon - such an attack will remove one of the cells of the special scale.

Each monster has its own type, belonging. Birds have flying, worms have ground, and so on. Each type is better or worse at attacking other types of Pokémon. This is a MUST be taken into account in the course of compiling your sonder team to attack someone else's jim. For the sake of brevity, just keep the chart below for yourself, which shows the interactions of Pokemon types according to their types. On the left, the rows are attacking Pokemon; on the right, columns are leaving - defending Pokemon.

Which Pokémon hatch from which eggs?

Our readers sent in a valuable picture showing the types of Pokémon obtained from different eggs (2, 5, 10 km).

Afterword

The game has not yet been officially released in Russia, Europe (only in Germany), Asia, but millions of players already play it. A huge pile of news filled the pages of both gaming publications and serious ones like Bloomberg, CNN or Business Insider. Let's see if the wave of popularity subsides quickly, but at the moment the impression is that "this train cannot be stopped."

Missing pokeballs? Now they won't!

So you got Pokémon Go(if you have Android, then before many of us), danced a jig when they found Charmander in their living room, and now they went out into this huge ruthless world in the hope of finding someone else.

The water masses are filled with water Pokemon, the determination to move away from the starting point brings rare monsters to the bins of amateurs, in general, a good day for catching Pokemon.

That's just ... Pokemon GO - a complete product nintendo, and according to longtime fans, the company is infamous for stuffing games with something you don't immediately notice.

So if you're going to be the best, you'll need all the help you can get...

15. What do the footprints mean?

While it may look like they represent a level of popularity, as you will sometimes see more footprints near the main Pokémon, they instead symbolize distance.

You see, once Pokemon GO is installed, the game uses GPS to determine your location in the real world. The number of footprint images is dictated by the radius of distance from this starting point, that is, three prints show a radius of 300 meters, two - 200, and one means a hundred or less meters to the pokemon.

It doesn't matter which direction you're moving, since you're dealing with a radius from the aforementioned point in your location. You will notice that the position of a particular Pokémon in the "Near" box changes and moves along with the countdown of the number of footprints as it approaches.

14. Trade identical Pokemon for candy

As with most games, you will encounter the same Pokémon during your travels, especially if you are hunting in special areas. In this case, click on the pokeball and go to the pokedesk (left icon), select the pokemon and scroll down the page.

Now select "Exchange" and Professor Willow will take the little animal from your hands, leaving a candy instead. These candies can be used to speed up the development and increase the Combat Power (a universal skill used in battles), so if you have a bunch of the same monsters, exchange them and tidy up the main team.

13. Getting daily free items in the shop

Once you've embraced the cool idea of arranging available Poké Balls into store locations in real life, you may be struck by the thought of actually going to the store to stay stocked.

Fortunately, this is not entirely true: jumping into the store menu from the pokeball icon opens up a world of microtransactions (the application is free, but Niantic/Nintendo needs to return your money anyway), nevertheless, look at the upper right corner of the screen and at the shield icon.

Once a day, you can get a daily bonus, and if you have already missed a few days, the numbers in the middle indicate the amount of freebie available.

12. How to always hit with a pokeball (which means a ring)?

These pokeballs are only great to play in Paper Toss! you say to yourself after the first battle. Yes and no, because there's more going on here than just throwing in and hoping for the best. In fact, you may have noticed a lot of multi-colored rings around the opponent.

They determine how easy or difficult it is to catch the creature and when you see the green ring, wait a bit for it to decrease in size before throwing and you will always be able to catch your prey. You can resize by holding your finger over a Pokémon to squeeze the ring when it appears, and if you do this before throwing the Poké Ball, you will almost always hit.

Red and orange rings mean that you need to calm down the Pokemon a little first, otherwise it will break out and you will just waste items. Buying or Finding Pokeballs Greatball or Masterball will give you a better chance of catching high-ranking Pokémon without all of this, you can also find or buy berries that turn the color of the Pokémon's rings back to green, making it easier to catch them.

11. How to throw a twisted ball?

You've caught a few Pokémon, ventured a lot, and gone pretty far, which is great, but maybe you want to try something more difficult?

To throw a spin ball (which earns you more experience points, but also the risk of wasting a Poké Ball), simply hold the Poké Ball and spin it around so that it sparkles - similar to how you modified items in Super Mario Maker.

As soon as this happens, let it fly - most likely by - eventually learn how to hang it. Combine it with the Lucky Egg to double the base experience and the rankings will skyrocket in no time.

10. Nothing is tracked when the app is sleeping

Unlike base downloads and other popular mobile apps, Pokemon GO's various systems (tracking and populating the world, hatching eggs, etc.) are completely inoperative when the app is inactive or the phone is in sleep mode.

This means you'll have to leave the app up and running if you want to hatch eggs after a certain distance, so forget about hibernation, walk a good hundred meters or two and reap the rewards.

The application constantly needs to keep track of your location, since the distance to each specific Pokémon is constantly monitored. Keep in mind that shutting down the app will reset your start point data. In such scenarios, it's hard not to think about saving battery life ...

9. What does power saving mode actually save?

The main complaint about Pokemon GO is due to the huge battery drain. Because the apps combine constant GPS tracking with ubiquitous server sync, a full charge can run out in 40 minutes.

Niantic is working on a solution to this problem, but the included power saver turns off when you flip the phone in your pocket. Helpful advice from powerfang: the screen will turn off and everything else will work, just leave the phone with the headphones on and it will vibrate if there is a pokemon nearby or beep when it notices a pokestop nearby.

It's not a perfect workaround, but if you're planning on waiting in special areas to see what hatches, or walking long distances without constantly checking your phone, then this method is quite effective.

8. Development of Pokemon after a knockout with full recovery of health

We'll get back to battles and gyms later (after all, Pokemon GO is all about adventure and hunting), but they say your pet got thrashed, so much so that he passed out altogether.

Pokemon GO provides an easy bounce back option, while previously a Pokemon with zero health could be brought back to life with an increasing difference in remaining balance, a knocked out Pokemon now respawns with full health as if you just caught it.

The point is not to spend the necessary items like the yellow Pokémon resurrection potion when you can use the right Candy or Stardust and get an almost new Pokémon.

7. You can catch Pokemon just by standing still.

Yes, thank God for that, the PokeGO game (as it's been officially cut) is definitely designed to get you outside and make you walk around a bit, well, since the world is inhabited, standing still can also pay off.

Developers Niantic created a game world based on databases Google Maps and own servers and implying that walking and running will serve as a trigger for the appearance of various monsters, depending on the surrounding space (buildings, water masses, etc.). However, it's because of the load time and server pickup that when standing still, you'll see Pokémon randomly pop up inside a small radius.

The best way to play is to walk a good hundred meters, then stand still and let this section of the game world load (this will be visible by the spinning pokeball in the upper left corner). There is a chance that the Pokémon will pop up after a random amount of time, so it's worth pausing and looking around the area for hidden items.

6. You can name your Pokémon

A little moment every self-conscious Pokemon host should know giving their little squad a boost of unique names. To do this, go to the Pokemon menu, select the monster and take a look at the small pencil icon next to its name. Touch it and you can enter any word (ANY you like), customizing the command to your liking.

It's still an open question whether swearing and curses are being censored by other players, but somehow there was one Magikarp named Puberty Lips - purely for experimental purposes - and nothing!

5. How to Use a PokéStop Properly

Okay, let's say the game tells how a PokéStop works, but there is an opinion that it is not clear enough. You see, the usual advice is that these PokéStops will change shape as you approach and that you need to hit them hard to create Poké Balls and other items.

This is not entirely true. On the main game screen, when approaching, the pokestop starts to change and you need to touch it to enlarge the picture, and only then spin it with all your might, the icon will start producing items that you just have to pick up. This is repeated about once every five minutes, until you get bored.

Bonus Tip: since every item and progress item is in sync with the servers Niantic, after you have spun the circle with a picture, just click on the exit button and all the necessary items will be added to your inventory automatically, that is, you do not have to wait for the animation to end. People use this method, calling it " PokeStop check-in", as it is especially convenient in city traffic.

4. What does grass animation mean?

Going out looking for Pokémon for the first time can be a little dreadful in the best sense of the word. You had Professor Willow's world loaded with Poké Balls, few of which took off the heads of innocent Pokémon. But what now?

First of all, take a look at the world map. In the early searches, the game eschews real direction hints, your first target appears when you get to the fifth level, so you can get bogged down in gym battles.

However, the fastest way is to target special zones that have a significant amount of Pokémon inside. Check out the animation showing some rustling blades of grass, no doubt there are plenty of Grass Pokémon and doppelgangers to give to Professor Willow. Again, the game world is just a layer on top of our own, so fields are fields, rivers are rivers, and so on.

3. How to fight other players and become a Gym Leader?

Okay, you can't fight other trainers in real time, but the closest thing you can do is in the gyms.

First you need to level up to level 5, then you can grab a neutral, gray-colored gym for yourself, or lead a colored gym (color means that it belongs to members of three teams - Instinct, Mystic and Courage), in which you will get the opportunity to fight with Pokemon one on one.

Depending on how many people bid to take over that particular spot, the person with the most combined combat power will default to being the Leader (you'll meet him at the end), everyone else will just be trainers you work your way through to the top.

Please note that the battle is not turn-based. Swipe left and right on the screen to dodge attacks and at the same time touch the enemy to deal maximum damage in the shortest time. The only thing that distracts from the dodge tactics is the need to keep an eye on a special counter, but there is a chance that the battle will end before the countdown. After winning, depending on the number of people to pass, the gym may still be colored, repeat the process until it turns gray, and then set the virtual flag.

After that, you can become the leader of this Gym, provided that you maintain your combat power at a high enough level. There are rumors (not yet confirmed) that Niantic they will add real-time turn-based combat, but for now, keep your heads up, gather an army and capture all the gyms you can find!

2. How to apply special moves in battle

For the first few fights, fighting in the gyms will be a hassle: getting carried away by higher level opponents, not knowing when to dodge, dropping servers and constantly lagging the game, but don't worry.

Everything that happens to the Pokemon on the screen is increased by a special counter of attacks. How many meter segments you need to accumulate to activate a special move differs from monster to monster, but you can see it on the Pokémon screen (at the top).

Select a creature and scroll down, just keep that in mind when you're on the eve of battle. You will have the opportunity to disrupt all the plans of the opponents at the last second, thanks to any previous battles, a special attack is already prepared.

1. Data recovery in the absence of download

This tip is especially for the first couple of months while the servers nintendo fighting with the population of the planet, playing Pokemon GO and wanting to stay logged in.

There are crashes in the game when, after loading, the appearance of the Persian and everything else seems to be the same as normal, but the Pokedex and all progress are destroyed. Not good.

To fix this situation, you need to find a way to close Pokemon GO completely, and not leave it active. For Android, this means that you need to go to the application manager. All data should be stored permanently on Niantic's servers, so in theory your progress hasn't been lost, just unrecoverable when you ping the server.

Closing and reopening the application requests a reconnection to the server and restores any lost data. Hopefully, if this happens to you, the recovery will be just as painless.

  • Enjoy it. If playing Pokémon GO has become a chore or a job, stop playing.
  • Sometimes you will look like a jerk playing Pokemon on your phone. It's okay, don't worry)
  • Play with friends if possible
  • Don't engage in mindless micromanagement. If you got 2 pokeballs at a pokestop that you don’t need, you shouldn’t immediately go into your inventory and throw them away. It's easier to throw out 100 unnecessary Pokeballs at once and save a lot of time.
  • You can evolve up to 60-70 Pokémon when using one (to get more experience). Also, you can either try restarting the app after pressing the “Evolve” button to skip the evolution animation (maybe it will help to reduce the time it takes for one evolution on powerful smartphones)
  • Most of the animations (egg hatching, evolving, etc.) are just for show and do not affect the gameplay in any way. The specified event has already happened and the animation only shows it
  • If you spin the PokéStop icon and get the “Try again later” message, you will still get items and experience from that PokéStop
  • If you travel to work by public transport and like to "carry out" high-level gyms, I recommend that you look at the map during your trip to see if there are such gyms on your way to work. Most likely, after the work, their status will not change and you will be able to earn experience on their “removal” and “exhibition” of your Pokemon
  • Also, if you are traveling by public transport and there are PokéStops within your reach along the way, rotate the PokéStop icon a little before it enters the collection area from it
  • Pokemon GO uses about 10 Mb of traffic per hour. A decent phone battery provides 3-4 hours of continuous gaming time.
  • The best purchase in the store is incubators (personal opinion))).

Finding and Capturing Pokémon

  • You can find different ways to track Pokémon. But the easiest way is to study the area well and know where the Pokemon spawns are.
  • Try to capture all the Pokémon you see. Pokeballs are a constantly renewable resource (unlike dust)
  • Pokemon spawns depend on biomes
  • Visit PokeStops More Often
  • The less you care about Dratini, the more likely you are to catch this Pokémon
  • Pokémon from "wild" spawns appear for 15 minutes and are highlighted with white rings; Pokémon attracted appear for 3 minutes and are highlighted with pink rings.
  • Pokemon and their IVs are the same for all trainers within the spawn - they differ only in level
  • Which Pokémon hatches from an egg is determined when the egg drops out of the PokéStop, not when the hatching is over.
  • Take a good look around before suddenly stopping. Perhaps other people and moving objects are not ready for such emergency braking.

Gyms

  • Help your lower level friends by attacking with them
  • You can single-handedly “take out” almost any gym
  • Learn to dodge, even basic attacks. This way you can defeat an even stronger Pokémon, even if it has an advantage over your Pokémon
  • Learn to “swap” a Pokémon before its health drops to zero
  • If you want to earn coins, don't occupy "popular" gyms. Your Pokémon won't last long anyway. Therefore, take a closer look at the gyms, on which the defenders rarely change
  • Your gym is “yours” until it becomes “foreign”)
  • Don't overestimate a Pokémon's IV values. The offensive advantage of the Pokémon is much more important. If you are not going to “pump” a Pokemon, you can ignore the IV at all
  • A high-level gym is not so easy to pump, but it will remain yours for a longer time; especially in low traffic areas

And finally

  • You won't be able to catch every Pokémon you see in the game
  • You won't necessarily see every Pokemon that other players have seen, even if your city is full of Gyms with that Pokemon.
  • Do not believe everything that is written on the Internet about the game Pokemon GO, even if it is posted on an authoritative resource. Check it out for yourself!

Pokemon Go: what to do with eggs?

However, you can get a Pokemon not only by looking for it on the ground. A pocket monster can be grown from an egg in an incubator, and it may turn out to be a rather rare species.

Eggs can be obtained from PokéStops located at certain locations in the city. Having received the egg, it should be placed in the incubator, and then move around in the real world by turning on the phone.

The value of a Pokemon will directly depend on how much the player has walked with his feet. The minimum distance is between 2.5 and 10 km, and this distance cannot be covered by car or bicycle.
