All about Mount and Blade. Mods, cracks, walkthrough, guides, news, discussion

Tournaments and, as a result, holidays are another integral part of Mount and Blade. To find out where the holidays are currently taking place, just talk to the minstrels, ashiks or bards in the tavern of any city. Often, if the holiday is in your faction, then you will most likely receive a personal invitation to it.

Holiday

On holidays, the lords of the faction gather, where they bring their wife and daughter with them. The better the relationship of the host of the holiday with the lords, the more people will visit this event. It is customary to celebrate holidays after various victories or vice versa, after defeats, in order to raise the morale and morale of the state. The holiday is the most ideal place to find a bride and start courtship. Keep in mind that the bride you're courting may already be busy, so try to ask for blessings from her father or brother (if there's no father) first.

To organize a holiday yourself, you need to have a wife / husband. Talk to him/her to take the quest to host the party, you will be asked to collect the necessary resources. It would take a significant amount of provisions and supplies to feed a whole horde of lords and their families. After the minimum amount is reached, you can send out invitations. Holidays are designed to raise reputation with the lords, so if you want to maximize relations with the lords, lay the best table that you can afford.

It is important to know that if the holiday takes place in the city, then a tournament will be held in which everyone can participate, earn money and fame. If the holiday is held in a castle, then there will be a royal hunt, which is still not implemented in Mount and Blade (and is unlikely to ever be).

Tournament

During the holiday, tournaments are held in the cities. The tournament is a great opportunity to earn money (on bets on yourself and get from 500 to 4000 dinars if you win) and fame. The tournament consists of 6 stages. 64 people participate in the tournament and with each stage the losers fly out. In the first stages, it is enough to defeat a couple of people to go further, since the maximum number of people (more than 10) play in the first stages. To get the maximum amount of money from the victory, you must bet the maximum amount (100 dinars). If you win one tournament and after some time claim again and win, then the amount of winnings will be 2 times less, respectively, further - even less. If you lose the tournament, then the stakes will increase.

Here will be described the passage of all the quests of the Mount and Blade game (only the original, most likely there will never be a Warbend addon. For mother laziness).

Village quests

They are issued by the headman of the village. Be careful, in version 1.003, if you refuse the quest, the headman will be offended by you forever, so put patches

1) The village is going to sow grain (judging by the frequency of this quest, the crop is harvested here several times a year, even in the areas of Veigiria, which are littered with snow all year round), but there is no grain. You need to drive to the nearest town or village and buy the required number of sacks of wheat. The reward is improved relationships. Tip: keep the grain in reserve, sometimes it takes a long time to look for it.

2) Once again the robbers stole cattle. You need to go to some other village and buy cattle from the headman. You can just steal cattle, Jeremus does not mind. Drive cattle to the village so that the bandits have something to steal next time. The reward is an improvement in relations with the village. Note: you can bring the herd in parts, first so many cows, then the rest.

3) The bandits haunt the village. You need to teach them how to fight. The better your training skill, the faster the training goes, and with a high skill, there can be two or three peasants at the same time. Having taught the peasants to take blows on the head with a stick, we are waiting for an army of bandits. Just make sure you have your own army, otherwise the peasants will forget all your studies.

4) The quest is given in a tavern by a frightened peasant. You go to the indicated village and cut the bandits. The reward in this and in the previous quest is an improvement in relations and some supplies, or, if you refuse supplies, an increase in respect.

5) If you ask a villager how they live, sometimes he will say that life is hard and ask for money, usually 300 dinars. If you give them to him, then relations with the village improve quite well. Note: if there is a high relationship with the village, then the number of recruits will increase and the recruits themselves will not be ordinary recruits, but stronger fighters.

Lady quests

A lady is an NPC who has been standing in one place in some castle for years.

1) The lady asks to punish the lord who spreads dirty rumors about her that she is sleeping with the groom. You must save the honor of the lady and ... the groom. You come to the offender and beat him unconscious in the arena. Then you return to the lady, take the money. Now you can pay the lady money and she will improve her relationship with some enemy. How does she do it, think for yourself.

2) Every lady has a husband, sometimes he is captured, then she asks to save him. You come to the castle where your husband is languishing, bribe the guard, go into the dungeon and give the prisoner your clothes, as in the terminator. The Terminator puts on your chain mail and rides to his wife as quickly as possible before the horns grow. You languish in prison for some time, after the call you go to the lady and take the money. The good terminator leaves your clothes at the exit, when you are released, the guards will return everything. Note: Some ladies have two or more husbands and all the ladies without exception sleep with grooms, and rumors are most often spread by the king.

Lord's Quests

1) Quest with a nervous person. The lord asks for help to find and kill a man who is hiding with relatives somewhere in the village. When you go to the village, drive around or go around all the houses, find a person (called a "nervous person", he is the only one in the village who carries a weapon) who is standing and hiding, talk to him. It usually stands behind one of the houses. Moreover, there is such a feature that if you press TAB before the "Nervous Man" you killed falls to the ground (i.e. within the first second), then the task will be considered completed, and relations with the village will not have time to worsen. Go to the Lord for a reward. If you give up money, then respect grows.

2) Quest to capture the lord. You must go to the enemy and capture the lord, given the likelihood of capturing the lord, the quest is not an easy one.

3) A quest to take prisoners. You must capture the specified number of prisoners of a certain type. It is better to keep prisoners in reserve.

4) Training of troops. The lord gives you some recruits, in three months you have to make an elite out of them. The lord doesn't care if they die in the next fight, so bring as many soldiers to him as he originally gave. Often you already have the necessary troops, you can give your own. Tip: send trained warriors to the castle so that they don’t die, when you get the right number, take them to the lord.

5) Quest for taxes. One locality sends the lord very far and does not want to pay taxes. You have two options: reduce taxes and the lord will be offended, or leave the rate the same, beat the peasants with sticks and they will pay everything. Relations with the locality are very much falling.

6) Escort the lady to town. If the lord has a wife, then he will go through the need to offer you to accompany her to some city. The lady joins you, but will not fight, just go to the specified city.

7) Capturing peasants. Soon the next harvest this year, and the peasants naturally do not want to work. You need to catch three blue groups of peasants. Run up to one of them and tell them to go back, they will go back. you go to the next one. But be careful, cunning devils, as soon as you move away, they start running again, so watch out for them. If not all the peasants return, then the lord will be offended and pay less. Companions because of this quest are upset, poor things.

8) Declaration of war. It is necessary to break the n-th number of caravans of the specified kingdom, usually 2-3. The reward is an improvement in relations with bad lords, and good lords are offended by you, the war with the specified kingdom also begins.

9) Transfer the companion to the service of the lord. Just transfer a companion (Lezalit and Firentis most often) to the service of the lord for a week. In a week, go to the lord and pick up your man. Often the companion is wounded. The reward is improved relations with the lord.

10) Meet the spy. You are told a certain phrase and the city where to go. You make your way into the city (sometimes the guards of the city recognize you and you have to fight with them) and start pestering all the locals with the phrase of the lord. One of them will tell you the answer. He is the spy. Go to the lord and get a reward.

11) The lord asks you to hunt down a spy. You need the ability to find traces, or have a NPC with this skill in the squad (Deshavy, Borcha). Follow the blue trail behind the blue squad. The spy will sooner or later come to a small detachment. You start a fight with them, take a tournament spear and give blunt weapons to your companions, dismount the cavalry, order the archers not to shoot, and order everyone to use blunt weapons. Grab two spies alive and take them to the lord.

12) The lord owes money to the merchant and asks to kill him. You will immediately find yourself in an alley and kill the merchant. relations with the city are deteriorating, satellites are offended. The merchant can be released by ordering him not to demand more money from the lord. At the same time, relations with the lord improve a little less, but the respect (honor) of the player and the relationship with the city (seemingly) increase.

13) The Lord asks you to carry out an intrigue in the camp of the enemy. The enemy king has a good relationship with one of his vassals and you need to mess it up. To do this, you need to send one of your warriors to certain death to carry out this very intrigue. If you do this, then the relationship with the lord-customer improves, and the morale of the squad drops. If you refuse to complete this quest, then the unit chosen for this task thanks you and swears to serve you faithfully until "the very death", the morale of the squad increases, but relations with the lord worsen. This quest can also affect respect (honor).

14) Get out of debt. One lord owes money to another, you need to repay the debt. You come to the debtor and you have three options: to convince, to pay part of the amount or not to collect the debt. First, I advise you to convince, the amount of compensation will decrease, you can try to convince a second time, then pay compensation and collect the amount of debt. Take the money to the lord, he will give you part of the money. If you left the faction or joined a hostile faction, then the quest will end, but the lord will demand money upon meeting. The number of persuasion attempts is a random value, sometimes only listens once, sometimes 5 (not based on skill, both the first case and the second on skill 10). With a low skill, it is better not to try - the amount that you will have to pay will increase. If the debtor is your friend, then you can chat him up at the expense of friendship, but relations are falling a little.

15) Quest to accompany the lord (if you serve his king). The lord calls you and requires the minimum number of soldiers in your army. Come to the lord, walk around the map with him. He can simply let you go, or he will have to help him get involved in the battle. The reward is to improve relations with the lord. Sometimes this lord gives marshal quests (see below).

Marshal's Quests

A marshal is not a Russian singer, but a lord chosen through open and public elections. Although most often the ruler of the faction is the marshal, you can also become one.

1) Bring cows. Marshal also wants to eat, so you need to bring him a herd of cows. Cows can be bought or stolen from nearby trees, just make sure the marshal is standing still, otherwise driving the herd through all of Calradia is not a very pleasant pleasure.

2) Intelligence. The marshal marks three enemy places on the map, you need to drive up to them and wait for the inscription "... noticed", then drive back. Sometimes during this quest, the campaign ends, but the quest is counted.

3) Assault on the castle. It's simple - participate in the assault along with the entire army. But do not relax, allies die like cockroaches from slippers, so all the dirty work is on you.

Sometimes marshal campaigns are delayed, but when a marshal is defeated or another is elected, the campaign ends, and the campaign may also end after the storming of an enemy city.

King's quests

The king is the king. All his quests are identical to the quests of the lords, and in the case of campaigns - marshals. Only at the beginning of the game, when you have not yet joined any faction, but are already more or less known, he can offer to become a vassal. You come to the king, take an oath and get a village. The king takes the village from the lord, who is very offended by you. Note: if the relationship with the lord is very bad, then you will not be allowed into the castles belonging to this lord. If the relationship is good, then at your request the lord will follow your army, and if he is in the enemy army, he can let you go without a fight. Another note: sometimes (albeit very rarely) the king can be in prison, then you need to get into the castle or city, talk to the warden and tell him that he dropped the wallet with money on the floor. The overseer, delighted with your honesty, will let you into the dungeon, where you will take the oath. If the king was captured, but has not yet been transferred to prison (that is, he is being dragged as a prisoner by some lord), then he will have to wait until he is imprisoned, redeemed, or he runs away

Imposter Quests

An impostor is a contender for the throne. You can find it by talking to the traveler. There are five of them in total, each of them marks the place of one of the five kings. Before you swear allegiance to a future usurper, make sure that you do not serve any king, otherwise the bastard will refuse to take the oath (but if you want to remove your overlord, then the impostor will take the oath). After the oath, the pretender to the throne will enter your squad as a companion, but will not be offended by you. It will be possible to dress him up, but he will not return the clothes. The quest is as follows - you need to destroy the faction by capturing all the cities and destroying the armies of the lord. You can approach the lord and invite him to participate in the uprising, but some lords are incompatible with each other and will refuse. After capturing all the cities, look for the armies of all the unfinished lords... After their destruction, the impostor will thank you and become the king, and all the defeated lords will enter this faction. Needless to say, some will not love you. And I also forgot: when you capture the city, the bastard will offer you someone to give this city: give it to the usurper, take it for yourself or give it to some lord who has joined you. But be aware: by giving the city to one, you greatly worsen relations with another. After the quest, the newly-made king or queen or khan usually offers you to become a marshal.

Caravan quests

If you see a caravan belonging to your faction, you can offer it protection. Just follow him, and ask him for a fee near the final stop.

Guildmaster Quests

In every city there is a well-dressed man, he stands in one place around the clock, sometimes you need to look for him for a long time.

1) Caravan. The Guild Master will ask you to escort a caravan. You leave the city and see a small detachment with a blue inscription. Tell him to follow you and drive to your destination. Near the desired city, talk to him to get paid.

2) Annoying bandits. Bandits rob caravans, ruining the guild master. You leave the city and look for the blue quest squad. Drive up and kill everyone, then return to the master. Sometimes there are several squads.

3) Redemption. The daughter of a friend of the master was kidnapped by bandits and demanded a ransom. You need to arrive at the destination indicated by the master and talk to the blue squad. You can redeem the girl, or you can simply cut everyone and take your daughter home.

4) Combined two quests: in one you need to take ale to a tavern in another city, in the other you need to overtake a herd of cows. Nothing complicated, only cows can not be eaten. Note: Some don't know how to drive a herd of cows. After the command to move, the herd always moves from you.
Therefore, you can simply direct it to the true path, and slowly drive behind yourself, just do not try to go around or overtake the herd. it will change direction.

5) The most expensive quest. The merchants are tired of the war and they will give you money if you talk to two lords from opposite sides and convince them not to fight. Lords can be convinced with words, with money (the first lord will ask for 7000, the second 2 or 3 thousand, the amount can be knocked off), you can simply take the lords prisoner, which is not easy. Reward 12,000 money and 10,000 experience, you can only take experience, your respect will grow. If the lord is your friend, then you can also try to chat at the expense of friendship, but if successful, the relationship drops very much.

Mount and blade is famous and at first glance unusual game, which made the dreams of lovers of the Middle Ages and various intrigues come true. You start playing as a simple wanderer, no matter what story you chose at the very beginning. By fighting enemies, scheming and serving your king faithfully, you can achieve many privileges, castles and tie the knot with some girl from a noble family, but you will never become a king. To take over and rule your kingdom, you will need to do a lot of work, as well as win huge number battles and intrigue. In this article, we will detail how to become king in mount and blade warband.

Preparing and founding your kingdom

First, upgrade your hero (in particular charisma, persuasion, leadership o), and collect a large number of soldiers, preferably cavalry, for example Swadian Knights. After that, carry out the termination of all vassal duties to the king, unless of course you have one and capture one of the castles of some kingdom. As soon as you capture the castle, a tab will appear where you need to enter the name of the kingdom, your coat of arms will be displayed as a flag. A small kingdom has been created, now you need to hold your castle and capture others!

Vassals

Fighting alone is very difficult, so you need to call on vassals from different kingdoms. To do this, you can talk to them personally, at the time of the conversation, say that he could join you and that you will give him land, it turns out extremely rarely, it depends on what kind of relationship you have with this person and the presence of a high persuasion skill. Or the vassal himself will come to you after one of the kings kicks him out, and this happens quite often. As soon as you capture one of the castles, try not to appropriate the lands for yourself, but leave them without owners, from this the vassals will flow like a river in the desire to acquire possessions.

Wars

“Do not fight on two fronts” is the main rule in war. Command armies personally, do not appoint a marshal, they are very slow and take castles for a long time. Maintain good relations with the vassals, they will not leave you or even betray you, leaving along with the castles that you gave them.

Final goal

In the end, through hundreds of battles and sieges, you will capture all the lands and become the absolute king of Calradia. It should be noted right away that you cannot marry the daughter of one of the kings, although there is such a tab. Whatever your relationship with the king, he will constantly answer that his children deserve a more noble groom.

Conclusion

Now you know how to become king in mount and blade warband. You should not expect special laurels from this, there will not even be an inscription that you are the king of all lands. But on the other hand, you will put an end to the endless wars between the kingdoms, and the only enemies will be sea robbers, bandits and raiders who can be dispersed alone. Good luck in capturing and ruling Calradia!

“A hundred and forty-seven came from Hald.
At the walls of Brattingsborg soon
They are their silk tents
Scattered in the open."

Song of one hundred and forty seven

First, let's briefly go over the essentials. Despite the fact that the game was released a long time ago, no one really promoted it (in fact, one of the first projects at the dawn of independent developers), the graphics did not shine even then, and therefore the toy may turn out to be an unexpected discovery for the general public.

FAQ

Q: What is it anyway?

O:Mount & Blade - a kind of "simulator of the Middle Ages". You take control of a character and start your journey to glory. The game is built on the principle of the greatest possible realism as far as possible for two people without funds.

AT: How to play it? In what order do addons go?

O:Yes in any. "Warband", "Fire and Sword", "Viking Conquest" all this just fills the game additional content, that's all. The game is essentially a "sandbox", with a very good implementation of the Middle Ages. The additions are not related to each other in any way, but the most complete and finalized versions are Warband and Viking Conquest.

AT:What do the different settings do in the game?

  • Control eg. block when you press RMB, your character will place a block. If this item is "auto", then a block corresponding to the direction of attack will be automatically delivered. You can also change this state to move arrows or move the mouse.
  • Control eg. strike when you press LMB, you will swing or aim (depending on the weapon), releasing will strike or shoot. With the default settings, the impact is set by the movement of the mouse, that is, whether you move it right-left-up-down (that is, there are four directions of impact). When on foot, this does not really interfere, but when on horseback, you can switch to the arrows.
  • Pike control Polearms in the game have a special status, as they are the only ones of their kind that have real kinetic energy when moving. Simply put, without even swinging, but simply holding it “on weight”, you will inflict a “knightly blow”, i.e. pierce (or knock down) the enemy. In addition, you can complicate your life by setting manual control (there are two gradations: easy and difficult).
  • Damage to player/damage to allies. By default, it is in states 1/4 and 1/2, respectively. It is recommended to set other indicators only for experienced players for the so-called. “winning back” without proper skill (and desire), they can knock you down at maximum settings with one blow. Do you want to feel like a simple soldier in a massacre of a hundred people? Feel free to put "normal! If you want to be a knight who overcomes the army put 1/4.
  • Combat AI A setting that affects how the AI will behave in battle. The skill of shooting, swordsmanship increases, enemies learn to bypass you from the rear and even use additional formations. In fact, there is not much difference between “easy” and “hard”, since since the demo version the AI has been improved so much that it fights well without it.
  • Game Difficulty is essentially a useless option, only needed for those who want to get "100%" game difficulty (these percentages are specified in the settings). Depending on the level, the amount of experience and money gained changes (downward).
  • Battle Speed affects the speed at which battles take place on global map.
  • The size of the battle how many warriors can participate in the battle at the same time. (If there are more enemies, then they may appear in the form of reinforcements)

AT: What is Calradia? Who are Vegirs, Khergits, Swads and Nords?

O:Despite the fictional setting, the nations in the game obviously have real prototypes. Nords obviously Scandinavians, Norwegians, Swedes and so on. Vegirs Commonwealth, Lithuanian Principality and other Western Slavs. Khergits nomadic tribes, Mongols and Tatars. Sarranid Sultanate Arabs, Turks and other so-called. "Saracens". Svady and rodoks divide central Europe among themselves these are Italians, French, Hungarians and so on.

AT: And for whom to play something?

O:For whom you want. All nations are playable. It is enough to take an oath to the king of the faction you are interested in. Of course, you will first need to earn trust, but this is done simply almost every king, if he is not angry with you, will give you some kind of assignment. Over time, your fame will increase and you can become someone's vassal without running errands.

AT: And for whom better play?

O:Again, who do you like better? Nords the best foot soldiers and shooters, indispensable for the siege and defense of cities and fortresses, vegirs have the best knights, and the Khergits and the Sultanate of Sarradi are professional cavalry, even their base unit has a horse and they are very mobile. Swads and rodoks are balanced, they have both infantry and cavalry (only swads, rodoks spearmen), in addition, their shooters are armed with crossbows, not bows.

AT: And who to be?

O:Depends on what you like best. Do you want to be a serious warrior? Swing two-handed weapons and polearms (it will be difficult for non-cavalry in this game in open spaces they will trample). Love to shoot bows and accurate shot is your choice. You can only dissuade from the idea of being a horse archer leave these fun to the hergits, the character shoots too inaccurately even with good pumping. In addition, you can be an engineer, a merchant, just run around and do errands, although this is still a hassle.

AT: Ok, how to make money?

O:You can run and complete various tasks, but firstly, it's long, and secondly, it's a chore .. The easiest way to make money is by playing in tournaments, betting on yourself. However, it will be difficult for a beginner practice first in "training" camps. that are scattered around the map, but hunt for small (up to 10 people) groups of bandits. The vassal of the king receives a weekly income from his village or castle. After you get a detachment, you can start robbing villages the most profitable activity, because selling the loot can bring up to 10 thousand denarii. When you feel the value of money on yourself (having seen in the store armor worth more than your annual income from three estates), you will begin to think about whether it is worth preserving the honor of the coat of arms, yeah. If you participate in wars you may be lucky to capture one of the opponents. For them sometimes appoint a solid ransom.

AT: What should they be spent on first?

O:Depending on who you want to be . In any case, do not throw away the very first money for a beautiful helmet with plumage, first take care of a sensible bib. It also doesn’t make sense to buy a weapon right away, captured in battle is not much worse, although if your specialized weapon doesn’t drop out for you for too long, you still have to buy something simple because possession skills directly swing from the frequency of its use. The next purchase should be a good horse. Then you can already show off in a beautiful helmet, and, for absolute luxury, buy combat gloves. If you play with a sword and shield, then before the helmet you need to buy a fairly strong shield, where you first need to look at its strength, and then everything else.

If everything is bought from you, then the life of a secular nobleman begins buy useful books (at high levels this is very important), develop your own estate and roll feasts.

AT: Where can I get all this?

O:In cities! Large capital cities like Praven, Uchkhala, Veluki, Sargoth and others have a weapons and armor seller, horse and food merchants. In addition, the latter can be bought in any village.

AT: The siege of the castle/fortress is going on for a long time! What to do?

O:The skill "engineering" is responsible for the siege of cities . Keep it at least 2 points in order to quickly besiege those castles and cities that require the construction of stairs. In the same place where you need to build siege towers, alas, you will have to endure three days, since it is very difficult to speed up this process. If there is no time or money to raise the skill (at the expense of books), then you will resort to the help of your companions some of them have the required skill level. In this case, during the siege, entrust the construction of structures to him.

In addition, this skill significantly reduces the time of buildings in the estate, and their cost.

AT: Companions? Who else is this?

O:In various taverns it will be possible to meet characters who have some kind of history behind them. They may be willing to join you for some fee. . It is worth considering that they may conflict with each other, so select your companions carefully.

AT: What else is useful in taverns?

O:In them you can also meet book sellers or mercenary units. . The latter are not particularly good, and they require a solid payment, so you should turn to them for services only in case of extreme hopelessness (as well as to any mercenaries in general). Also in the latest additions, there are minstrels in taverns who can teach you verses. They can be told to the lady of the heart, unless of course you are afraid of angular models. (no, no mods for grafon were delivered. Wait for Bannerlord)

AT: What weapon should you choose?

O:Everything depends on the tasks. When besieging / defending a fortress, it is useful to have a bow and arrows, because you can have time to shoot a decent number of frags before the battle goes into the active stage. Various clubs will come in handy for those who expect to increase the army at the expense of captives stun weapons will allow you to disable enemy troops with a high chance without killing them. Cutting and piercing weapons traditionally deal the highest damage, and spears come in handy in mounted battles.

AT: How to turn in quests?

O:You will need to be sure to find the one who asked you the quest (that's bad luck!). Considering that the world of Calradia lives its own life and literally does not stand still, it is sometimes difficult to find a quest giver. He can be found by asking people who belong to his faction or in the "quests" section to see where he can be. Geographical places can be seen in the "reports" column, by clicking on some object you will be transferred to it on the global map and you can order the character to go there.

O:There is an option "camp" in the menu on the global map. After you break it, both of these options will appear, as well as the opportunity to end the journey. Look carefully, some books do not have to be read just dragging them in your inventory is enough.

AT: I am not satisfied with the king/sultan, is there anything I can do?

O:If you suddenly want to be known as a mother's revolutionary, the game will provide you with such an opportunity. In each kingdom, in the capital (that is, in the city owned by the king of the faction) there will be a character who is a contender for the table of some other faction. After talking with him, you can start a series of events, and begin to elevate the pretender to the throne. Keep in mind that you need to have a serious army to arrange this.

  1. Creating a character here is not just about throwing parameters around. Initially, you are tormented by the question of your origin, occupation, and other seemingly abstract things. So, all this directly affects your characteristics or skills. By choosing the background of the “impoverished nobleman”, for example, you will immediately receive a coat of arms at your disposal. Choose a career as a veteran you will have more strength and better use of weapons. A child of the steppe will add a point to your riding and shooting skill. The tradesman's assistant will obviously have a better understanding of prices. So if you want to be a salesman, it's obvious that a career as a street bum is not for you. And again, a noble knight who is going to spend his entire adult life in campaigns and buhurts should not know how to handle cloth.
  2. Initially, it is worth recruiting an army from the Nords. They are the best infantry in the game, and it will still be difficult to swing to good shooters / riders at first. When you reach enough skill and strength to kill squads of 30+ people, you can try to start recruiting your squad from vegir.
  3. Why are horsemen needed for the most part? In addition to the advantages on the plains, the speed of the squad also depends on the composition of the troops, so having knights on horseback is much more profitable than foot warriors when chasing some especially nimble lord. Well, or you can just pump "path search".
  4. It is better to leave the captured lords in the castle from there they will not escape until you receive a ransom for them.
  5. Try to have very good relations with the king of the faction to which you have sworn in recent updates they like to constantly change the owners of villages and castles. So a good reputation will help you get your castle back.
  6. You shouldn't mess with even five bandits if you don't have a horse - you can easily be killed. Being on a horse, at first, until you learn how to play, do not attack units of more than ten people. Tournaments for the same reason are better to first take place in the kingdom of Vegir and Nord more convenient weapons for beginners drop out there more often (yes, you will have to fight in training).
  7. Throw in a couple of points in the surgery skill this will seriously increase the chances of your soldiers to survive, and therefore, you will not have to spend money on recruiting, and more importantly spend time pumping them and gathering troops.
  8. The duration of the swing affects the damage. Such an obvious thing has two nuances it also depends on the speed with which you are moving (suddenly, physics, yes, but now remember in what modern games this is implemented in practice), and on where you hit (expectedly, it hits the head more painfully). If everything is clear with the second point, then two things immediately follow from the first: firstly, if you release the swing button at full gallop a little earlier than you collide with the enemy, then the weapon will receive an increase in “speed” and inflict more damage. Secondly, therefore, it’s better not to swing spears at all it’s much more effective to simply lower the spear and run into the enemy (you will be notified of a successful maneuver by the message that appeared in the log “a knight’s strike!”
  9. Feel free to hire companions many of them have useful skills that you don’t have to focus on yourself (for example, engineering with Artimener, trading with the Cage, etc.)

On this, in principle, and all. It would seem that not much is gained, but the apparent emptiness of the game depends solely on the imagination of the player the atmosphere and mechanics of the game are simply wonderful, and what goals the player sets for himself is his business. In addition, there are a lot of very playable mods, for example, the Game of Thrones mod. So if in the usual Middle Ages you are not interested in fantasizing, perhaps in a more familiar fantasy setting the game will let you turn around.

Comments

One colleague plays it often. Spinal game. Jumping, slashing, making alliances, capturing. Medieval world of tanks. Looking at how he plays, I don’t understand how he decides so quickly what to do, where to jump, etc. He himself explains that he simply already knows all the dialogues, etc., what could be in any possible scenario, since he has played thousands of times, so he simply skips the text after reading a couple of words he knows what to do next. I don't understand what it's like to play now. But, I think, if I had played it earlier, I would also have stuck, since the automation of the gameplay here is at the level of Heroes. Apparently, the chela just likes to run different scenarios over and over again. He sometimes even, as he admitted to me, cheats out of boredom and somehow changes the attack of the spear, etc. Makes a good sword/shield etc. Just so that these long wounds according to the scenarios pass quickly. But that's just how it goes. At work there is no time to play, so it somehow breaks the game. He can’t help but play, but he wants to win there, fight, etc.

vegiers have the best knights

Svads and rodoks are balanced, they have both infantry and cavalry, in addition, their shooters are armed with crossbows, not bows.

Horsemen endure absolutely everything alive during the siege of the castle or on the plains (yes, even in the mountains). With pathfinding companions and a cavalry army, the army flies with at least 10.

Sarradi Sultanate

*Sarranid Sultanate

Throw in a couple of points in the surgery skill - this will seriously increase the chances of your soldiers to survive, and therefore, you will not have to spend money on recruiting, and more importantly, spend time pumping them and gathering troops.

Try to have very good relations with the king of the faction you swore allegiance to - in recent updates they like to constantly change the owners of villages and castles. So a good reputation will help you get your castle back.

It seems like nonsense ... He appoints the owner of a newly captured castle.

Q: I am not satisfied with the king/sultan, is there anything I can do?

You can swing the right to the throne and capture in one (without any help from other lords) the castle to tell the king what you want him to, if he refuses (due to a low relationship with him), then you declare yourself the king with the initial territory in the form of this castle, then you tear his country (your king who declared you a rebel) into shreds and ....
PROFIT you eventually have your own country. (Because of this feature, many people probably started playing it)

It seems that the whole article is not bad, I liked it (rather its presence, but oh well).

No, with their two-handed axes, they are clearly losing to the cavalry of the Swadi and Sarranids.

Weapons may vary. The most important thing spears everyone has.

Rodoks have no cavalry and are conceived as spearmen (who can only win in the deep mountains and that is unlikely)

That's for sure? I remember there was.

Brad infantry<конницы да и глянь ветку раскачки пехоты нордов и конницы свадов, а затем сравни длину.

The point is that in the field, infantry humiliates the same foot soldiers, simply due to speed and a quick attack.

Horsemen endure absolutely everything alive during the siege of the castle or on the plains (yes, even in the mountains). With pathfinding companions and a cavalry army, the army flies with at least 10.

Here, during sieges, they are just something else shit, they are dying like flies forever. And with any complexity.

It is better to download it for companions (yes, several) along with the pathfinder and the trainer.

We're talking solo here.

It seems like nonsense ... He appoints the owner of a newly captured castle.

It seems like, but I have accurate information. Changes owner constantly.

Here we are not talking about our state, but about what is the so-called. called palace coups. It is still more difficult with your own state, and in general it is difficult to fight against a country. This is a fact (i.e. for beginners), so there is no talk of such tricks here.

All spears are usually blocked by the edge of the shield or fly into armored horses (simple ones and they are demolished with swords), and just during the siege of the spear-shit.

Well, if you have 60-90 knights against 300-400, then you will sit standing on the sidelines hiding behind a shield from random arrows. (More than half of yours will be injured, though)

“Like” wrote out of respect for you, when talking to the king (or another lord of the same faction) there is a line “Who are you going to appoint as the owner of Uchkhala”. This means that such and such an allotment that does not have an owner (which was recently captured) will be appointed next, in this case Uchkhala

We're talking solo here.

The bottom line is that you take charisma and leadership for yourself. In the solo game, you can hire and download companions. Hiring solo companions won't stop the game from being solo. Everyone plays how they want, so this part is generally unimportant.

Here's something, but it's stupid to stand under fire in general, a star.

So damn it, here it’s not about the fact that it’s not known who he will choose, but that he likes to change often. What's the difference from the fact that we will know who he will choose if it is impossible to influence it? (also, he always offered himself to me)

It’s just that if the war hasn’t pumped out of itself, then you can kill 30 people. (Maximum for the sake of experience because it won’t affect the battle much) The point is that 60-90 knights against 300-400 in a siege are completely pulled out. And you stand and save hp for a breakthrough deep into the castle (or whatever).

No, all the lords express their opinion, and taking into account their opinions, he issues an allotment (when he gives out an allotment, his relationship with the lords changes because he greased one and not the other).
