Starting the game in Last Day on Earth: Survival

How to change your name

To change the name of the character in the equipment menu, you need to click on the blue icon above the indicators of hunger and thirst.

Bunker alpha

At the very beginning of the game, having made a backpack, go to the Alpha bunker. The corpse lying at the beginning of the location has a map to enter it, and in the bunker itself you can freely take useful equipment. Code from the bunker 07275 , 07256 or 77612 .

Saving energy when out and about

Save energy when returning from a field trip. It is most convenient to play in the mode: run to the place of the farm (extermination of opponents), have fun and fill the backpack, go on foot home - nothing will happen on the way, which means that the game can be turned off by doing other things.

Hunger and thirst

Don't let the character stand idle - he can simply die of hunger and thirst, which will not happen if the game is closed. In the inactive state, nothing happens.

How to level up fast in Last Day on Earth: Survival

For fast pumping, you need to kill enemies more than to extract resources. At the same time, in this case, your weapon will begin to break down quickly, which means that you will lose the resources necessary to make it. In any case, this issue will be discussed a little later in a separate article.

Building in Last Day on Earth: Survival

Building a dwelling

Do not try to shirk housing construction and crafting (creating items) in general - without this, you cannot survive in the game. If possible, place two campfires, two smelters and two garden beds - this will allow you to cook food twice as fast, process stones / scrap metal and grow carrots.

Merchants

Be sure to make a radio and meet with the merchant more often, sometimes for next to nothing (boards, stones, metal) you can buy useful weapons from him.

Floor and walls

Improve the floor for specific workbenches and furniture - for some things you will need a floor of the second and third levels, and some buildings need bare ground at all (the floor is improved in build mode by clicking on the desired square and the up arrow, the icon with a cross - to remove ).

Walls are improved and demolished similarly to the floor. Strengthening them is only worth it if you plan to meet hordes of zombies.

Loot boxes

Place as many drawers in your home as you need to store all the items you don't know about, including smartphones, flashlights, flash drives, watches, and so on. Many items can only be used after reaching high levels.

The best way not to get lost in a lot of boxes is to place them near the production and store the appropriate items there (food is closer to the fire, iron is closer to the smelters, and ropes and skin are not far from the dryer).

How to defend against zombie hordes in Last Day on Earth: Survival

The zombie horde advancing on the base every day destroys only the walls, without touching anything else. However, if you leave the game 10-15 minutes before they appear, and return after another 10 minutes, only one wall will be demolished. It is worth meeting a zombie horde only with a large supply of bandages and weapons, although there is little point in messing with them. Benefit - only experience and modest loot (prey from the body of the slain).

When enclosing the area of \u200b\u200byour dwelling with stakes, it is worth placing them in at least two rows, since they do not detain zombies, but only injure them.

The "crouch" button (lower right) allows you to become less visible to zombies and forest animals. In this mode, movement speed is reduced, but you can sneak up from behind and deal triple damage with one hit (damage depends on the weapon in your hand).

Lure zombies out of the crowd one by one. It is only necessary to slowly sneak up to the group until one of them, or even two, rushes in your direction - we run back, wait for them and bring them down.

Using tools as weapons

An ax with a pickaxe is not only tools, but also weapons - in difficult times they can be picked up and beat down the enemy much faster than with fists. Although you can arm yourself with them in peacetime, thereby freeing up a slot in your inventory for something more useful.

Checking equipment before a trip

Before leaving for battle, check the condition of the equipment. If its resource is close to the end, it will be very prudent to take a replacement with you. Of course, in green locations you can hope for luck and undress someone along the way, but in orange or red, such hope can cost you your entire supply of first-aid kits or your life.

Always keep food, bandages or a first aid kit ready - all this can be placed in the equipment slot under the backpack, then in research mode a special button for quickly using the selected item will appear above the attack button.

Shoes are often more useful than other items, as they significantly increase the speed of movement, allowing you to take your feet away from runners and other evil spirits.

In the locations of the red level, when entering, it is worth waiting - after some time, toxic zombies will come running to you. It is better to wait and kill them immediately at the entrance than later they will run into the battle with other ghouls.

After death, you can take things from your own corpse only if you died in your home location. Accordingly, in other zones, be always ready to lose everything forever.

Gathering resources in Last Day on Earth: Survival

After clearing the map, the routine collection of resources can be given to automatic mode (button at the bottom left). And in order not to recruit everything in a row, you can use the "split" button to fill all the free inventory slots with the necessary materials. Automation will only have to increase their number, without improvising with the assortment.

Do not abuse throwing away - when filling the backpack, you can hide something in the corpse of a dead zombie or wolf, picking it up as the inventory slots become free. For example, having unloaded, you can chop even more trees, and then return and change the ax that has become unnecessary for the logs hidden in the body of the dead log and take home at least 20 pieces more.

It is not necessary to recycle all resources at the first opportunity. It may turn out that something simple and in a ridiculous amount is missing for the necessary craft - it will be a shame to go to the collection for the sake of this.

How to find water in Last Day on Earth: Survival

Water in the game can either be found in bottles, or use a water collector. In the first case, you need to inspect chests in various locations. Especially a lot of water bottles in locations with a crashed plane.

To build a water collector, you will need 10 pine logs, three pieces of cloth and two scrap metal. Pine logs can be found lying around in the location or obtained using a wood ax. Pieces of fabric and scrap metal should also be looked for in locations, especially in bags in places with a crashed plane.

Preparing food and medicine

It is better to cook meat and carrots on a fire, but it is necessary to use berries wisely: when raw, they restore health better, and in the form of a decoction on a fire, they quench hunger and thirst.

Empty bottles and cans are best not thrown away, the former can be filled with water using the Water Collector at the base, and the latter are needed to create a spiked hammer, trip wires and some other items.

It is not necessary to constantly carry water with you - you can always get drunk before going into battle, immediately leave an empty bottle to fill in the Water Collector and free up a slot in your inventory. In extreme cases, if you get thirsty on a hike, you can hold out on berries. Similarly, with food, you can always get by with raw meat.

Check your mail every day (coin icon to the left of crafting) - the developers send you Beans in Sauce and Water. And in the case where you die often, there may be a weapon.

Other secrets in Last Day on Earth

  • At the time of writing, the online mode in the game has not yet been launched. All players who try to kill you upon meeting you are bots. You can't meet other players.
  • Three neighbors are all the same, but with different nicknames. One of them can make a good living.
  • Packages from the sky and crashed planes mostly appear when energy drops to 50 and below.
  • There is no code for the computer inside the bunker in the game yet, it will appear in the future with one of the updates.
  • A motorcycle (chopper), an all-terrain vehicle, a truck and a clan tower cannot yet be made - some parts for them are not yet in the game.
  • It is also impossible to assemble a lot of workbenches and weapons - the components necessary for them are located across the river, where you cannot get there without transport.
  • It is also impossible to repair things yet, so save powerful weapons for really dangerous locations.

Last Day on Earth: Survival is an original mix of survival sim and RPG with a huge world. The game is simply oversaturated with all sorts of dangers, nooks and crannies and a variety of unpleasant surprises. After downloading Last Day on Earth: Survival to your computer, you will find yourself in an eerie world where all your ingenuity, dexterity and ingenuity will be required to survive.

About the game

The plot is well known to many fans of post-apocalyptic games: in 2017, the planet was struck by a sudden outbreak of an unknown deadly infectious disease that wiped out almost the entire population of the Earth in a matter of days. But the insidious virus did not stop there - all the dead people began to turn into bloodthirsty zombies, with one single desire - to destroy everything around.

Fortunately, not all died. A small number of people were found to be resistant to the virus, allowing them to survive. Now the remnants of humanity will have to start anew in this difficult and harsh world, where death awaits behind every bush.

Surviving on the ruins of civilization is not an easy task. You will have to gather all your strength to hold out for at least a few days. The infection destroyed only people, so the chances of salvation were preserved - the “legacy” of the lost civilization left weapons, medicines and a lot of improvised means, without which it is almost impossible to survive in new circumstances.

Gameplay

Your main task is to survive the main character at any cost. Danger awaits here at every turn, so be prepared for endless defense. As it should be in such games, in the base location your hero will appear practically naked, and you will have to quickly look for basic equipment, food and weapons on your own.

Important: it is worth starting the search from nearby places. Do not climb too far - as a rule, the basic sets of equipment are located in close proximity to you. A player who risks "naked" will go in search of a quick death from starvation or a mutant attack, so it's better not to risk it.

First you need to find the minimum resources necessary for survival: clothes and something to create a simple weapon. For example, a stick for a baseball bat or a piece of metal for a knife. When the problem with clothes and weapons is resolved, go to gathering - it will help stock up on food and firewood. Collect leaves, berries, sticks, branches - in the future you will need all this for crafting and building shelters.

The crafting process develops here as well as in similar games. First, the character collects simple items, and when he collects everything he needs, he moves on to creating more complex tools and things. For example, by collecting enough wood and branches, you can build a hut, and stones and clay will help in the construction of the hearth.

Realism is more than enough here. The hero will suffer from cold, hunger and thirst, so do not get too carried away crafting and looking for equipment - if you do not monitor the character's vitals, he will quickly die.

Important: it is better to cook food, and boil water. The use of raw food and water from the nearest puddle will provide the hero with a significant loss of health, and possibly various diseases, from which an antidote will quickly have to be invented.

Playing Last Day on Earth: Survival on the computer, you will have to go on a journey through a variety of locations. All locations are divided into three categories:

  • Forest. In addition to the pine forest and wooded foothills, this category also includes the Infested Forest, a deadly location that is considered one of the hardest places in the game. Here the hero will meet with the Witch - a monster that is incredibly hard to kill. Killing the Witch drops good loot. In the rest of the forest locations, you will find a lot of zombies and wild animals that you can hunt.
  • Rocks. There are three locations in this category with an average level of difficulty. There are no unique monsters and zombies here, the main "prey" of the player will be stones and iron ore.
  • Bunkers. So far there are 7 bunkers in the game. These are the most interesting locations, to get into which the hero will need to look for secret codes, get key cards, etc. In bunkers, zombies are more common, in one of the bunkers you can meet an engineer. Bunkers are attractive with a large number of unique items: cards, ammo, first aid kits and other useful things.

Please note: the number of locations is constantly updated. The developers are trying to expand the game world as much as possible, so they regularly release updates containing new places.

All locations differ in terms of difficulty:

  • Green. The easiest difficulty level with a minimum number of enemies. Green areas are ideal for beginners, as the chances of survival are much higher here.
  • Yellow. Medium level, which requires weapons and pumped skills to survive.
  • Red. The most difficult level. There are a huge number of enemies here, so it is better for beginners and unarmed heroes to stay away from the red zones.

In addition to gathering, you can also hunt. In the "local" forests there are deer and wolves - killing a deer, you will get meat and a skin, and fangs and a skin can be removed from a wolf. These are valuable resources that will be needed for making clothes, cooking, etc. Hunting deer is quite difficult, because when the player appears, they quickly hide in the forest.

After downloading Last Day on Earth: Survival on PC, you will also have to get to know different types of enemies. Apart from rabid wolves and unique monsters, most of the enemies in the game are zombies:

  • Ordinary zombies. Weak creatures that are easy to kill. They differ in a small number of health units, but quickly move and attack.
  • Runners. Fast monsters that deal very little damage individually. They are dangerous because of their speed, and their tendency to attack in large packs.
  • Fat man. Large and heavy zombie that deals heavy blows. With a powerful blow, he easily knocks the character to the ground, where the hero quickly becomes the prey of small monsters.
  • Toxic zombie. A very fast acid spitting mutant. Represents a great danger to heroes with weak armor.
  • Toxic fat man. Large and slow zombies that combine powerful strikes with acid spitting. Sometimes they are able to jump unexpectedly, knocking the player down.
  • Furious giant. One of the most powerful and dangerous monsters in the game. It moves very slowly, but due to the huge damage it kills the character with one hit.
  • Thug. The most powerful zombie. It has a large supply of health, inflicts heavy damage and has a serious defense. Mostly found in red zones, rarely found in yellow.

Important: in addition to trophies, hunting zombies will also bring you a level increase. Try to start with simple monsters to improve your fighting skills.

Jul 30, 2017 Game guides

Last Day on Earth: Survival is filled with tons of interesting content that is easy to miss. In this guide, we will try to consider several interesting features and non-obvious features of the game that can diversify your impressions of it.

Bunkers

Most likely, you will easily notice the bunker on the map - the problem is that it is quite difficult to enter it. Moreover, in fact, there are several bunkers - there are at least Alpha, Bravo and Charlie. Each of them requires a special card to enter, which can be found on survivors, in chests and in support boxes. Please note that each bunker has its own card - a card with the letter “C” cannot open the Alpha bunker, for example (“C” for Charlie's bunker, “Charlie”).

However, finding cards is not so difficult, especially for the Alpha bunker. When you enter the territory of this bunker, you will find a dead military zombie at the entrance (active zombies will be waiting in large numbers in other bunkers), from which you can remove a gun and other items - there are also trees growing around the bunker that can be chopped down. Inside the bunker, you'll find a few crates containing army armor (battered), a pistol, and a lot of electrical parts. Although, perhaps, you will be most interested in the huge hatch in the center of the bunker, which cannot be opened just like that - for this you need to enter a password on the computer next to it.

The question arises - where to get the password? Asking Google is useless, since passwords are generated randomly for each player. However, it is possible to find them, but you will have to pump well - you will need a Laboratory, available only at level 82. But one laboratory is not enough - you need to find a flash drive, which very rarely drops from enemy survivors, and use it in the laboratory. By doing this, you will learn the password from one of the bunkers within your reach.

What is in the bunker? A bunch of useful things - good weapons, like the M16, excellent armor, rare materials. In general, everything that can be useful for a player who has reached high levels in the game and plans to fight the zombie brute, the most powerful enemy in the game, with 1000 health points.

Kill the merchant

If you collect the radio, then a merchant will appear on the map from time to time - he allows you to exchange any items for others (for example, 5 nails for M16). Among other things, the merchant can be attacked - but if you attack him too hard and often, he will start shooting at you with an M16 and finish him off very soon. However, it is quite possible to kill the merchant, you just need to be patient!

To kill him, you need to have a low damage weapon like a hammer. The merchant forgives you the first hit if it is not too strong - and this can be used. Just enter the map and hit the merchant once with a sneak attack, then run away from the map and enter it again (without moving from it to other locations). By repeating the process over and over again, you will be able to remove all the health of the merchant and kill him, congratulations! You just have to stock up on weapons first, because one, for example, a hammer is definitely not enough to kill a merchant, and you won’t damage him with your fists.

What is the profit from killing the merchant? None! Moreover, you can even continue to "trade" with him if you kill him in the manner described above and he does not budge. Then why do it? Just to have fun and kill one of the most powerful characters in the game, of course!

Catch zombies

Sometimes zombies and wolves spawn in your base - they are easy to kill, so they do not cause much problems. However, these zombies and wolves can be used to your advantage!

If you see a zombie, then quickly switch to build mode and build a floor under it, and walls with a door around it. This will allow you to capture the walking dead and use it to kill yourself if necessary. Why kill yourself? Imagine that you are low on health, you are hungry and thirsty - to get back to normal, you will have to eat a few steaks and stews, drink a couple of bottles of water and bandage your wounds. But you can not waste precious resources and put everything that was on you into chests - and die! After death, you immediately find yourself at your base with full health and satiety, and all that remains is to get your items from your backpack and move on!

Subsequently, by the way, such “rooms with zombies” can be replaced with stakes - standing close to them, you take damage, and you can also end your life and thereby restore all indicators.

Farm red zones without a goon

Locations in the game are divided into “green”, “yellow” and “red”. The red ones have the most resources, but the danger is much higher there - there are more zombies, enemy survivors are more heavily armed, and, most importantly, a brute appears there in 95% of cases - the most powerful enemy in the game with 1000 health points, capable of inflicting 50 points of damage in one hit and moving at a very high speed.

However, it is still possible to farm red locations without fear of an invasion by a thug - to do this, you need to move to a red location and wander around its edges (in the process, you can collect resources and kill zombies). The brute usually does not appear immediately - 30-40 seconds pass, during which naive players usually go deeper into the center of the location, and then die due to the brute suddenly appearing. You need to wait for him and quickly leave the map. Then you need to go to it again and do the same - if the thug did not appear within a minute, then the sector is clear! If it reappears, then you need to “reload” the location - go to the nearest one, and then go back. After that, the brute will most likely be gone (this can be changed with updates) and you will be able to collect resources, fearing only strong survivors and large zombies (which is not a problem for a player with firearms and armor). If you have already installed BlueStacks, click on "Open" in the notification that appears.
