The best armor sets in Skyrim. The best armor in Skyrim - light and heavy armor

The computer game Skyrim requires the gamer to have good equipment that allows him to defeat even the most dangerous opponents.

Each player wants to get excellent armor that will not allow opponents to inflict damage on him. There is no ideal option for everyone, but each class must use the appropriate type of equipment. What is the best armor in Skyrim?

How to create the best armor?

Heavy armor sets are suitable for warriors, but it will be difficult to move quietly and quickly in them. For this reason, archers and scouts should choose the light type. The situation is similar with mages. But heavy armor is the most popular in the game. Therefore, we will tell you how to get the best version. This method is also suitable for other types of equipment.

First you need to pump, having mastered blacksmithing, alchemy and enchantment. In the process of pumping, you need to learn how to make Daedric armor, because they are considered the best for a warrior.

  • We brew a potion designed to increase enchantment, and drink it (it will work for half a minute).
  • We enchant a set of things to increase alchemy and put them on.
  • Once again, we brew a potion to increase enchantment, drink it, enchant the next set of things.
  • We put on, take a new set of clothes and cast an enchantment on it that will increase the blacksmithing skill by 29 percent.
  • We brew a potion to further increase blacksmithing. We put on a blacksmith's set, drink the resulting liquid, which improves our skills to the maximum.
  • We quickly make Daedric armor and improve it until the effect of charms and potions wears off.

The resulting kit makes you a serious threat to the world of Skyrim. The most terrible opponents can only scratch you, but nothing more.

It is not easy to manage to complete all the listed actions on time. You can spend at least an hour on them, but the result will please.

How to get good armor at the beginning of the game?

When there are dozens of hours of play behind you and the level of the character is high, it will not be difficult to create a decent armor. But at the beginning of the game, such armor cannot be obtained. Find out where to get good clothes for the first time.

When you first arrive in Whiterun, check out the Prancing Mare Tavern. Utgerd the Unbroken sits in the corner - it is her armor that will come in handy. We must quickly deal with her and pick up the armor, but at the same time avoid death at the hands of the guards. Save, then set the difficulty level to minimum. The hero must have 40 coins. If they are not available, take from Utgerd - she pays for the victory in a fistfight.

Trom-ka, friend! To celebrate the release of Skyrim Special Edition, a remastered version with HD textures, we're releasing a series of articles on the subject. The first will be an article about choosing and finding the best weapons and armor. And, since I like speed and lightness better, we'll start with one-handed weapons, shields, and light armor.

For your peace of mind, Skyrim Special Edition includes all of the add-ons for the original game, so all of the items below will be available to you.

The best one-handed weapon in Skyrim

Undoubtedly the most powerful weapon with base damage is the dragon, but it is also significantly heavier (except for daggers, where the dragon bone dagger is only 0.5 kg heavier). Underperforming by one point of base damage, a Stalhrim Mace or ax will be significantly lighter and overall better, with the exception of swords, where the vaunted Daedric Blade has more base damage and almost the same weight.

All of these weapons can be enchanted, but unique artifacts can no longer be enchanted (in most cases), so some of the weapons below can only be good if you do not have such a specialization.

Mace of Molag Bal
16 18
“Steals 25 Magicka and 25 Strength per hit. Soul capture."
The weapon is forged from ebony, is 1kg lighter than unnamed examples, and has base dragon damage. You can get a task on it in an abandoned house in Mokart.
Sword of Miraak
16 3
"Steals 15 power per hit"
An unprecedentedly light sword, only 3 kg and damage to the most powerful dragon weapon. Unfortunately, you can get it only at the end of the game, during the main storyline (taking into account the presence of the Dragonborn add-on).
Mehrunes Razor
11 3
"Instant death occurs with a 1.5% chance."
3.5 kg lighter than a dragon dagger, but 2 less base damage. Despite this, due to its effect, it makes the dagger a good option for the left hand. The quest can be started by visiting the museum in Dawnstar.

The best light armor in Skyrim

Two of the most powerful light armors are available from the crafting sets in the game: Stalhrim (with the Dragonborn add-on) and Dragonscale. The difference between them is small, and if one element of armor is better, then the other is worse.

Stalhrim boots, bracers have the same base armor stat as the dragon.

With a bib and a helmet, not everything is clear.

The breastplate is lighter by 3 kg, but less in armor by 2. It makes sense to wear Elven gilded armor, the armor class is 6 lower, but its weight is 6 less.

The shield is undoubtedly made of dragon scales - the weight is 4 lighter, yielding only 1 in armor.

The helmet is lighter by 2 kg, but less in armor by 1. But in terms of the armor parameter, in comparison with the Masks of the dragon priests, any other light helmet pales. Krosis, Volsung or Miraak (Dragonborn) will suit you. You can collect all 8 basic masks and travel to the past, where you will awaken the leader's heavy mask. Krosis is the best freely available, head to Double Peak to get it.

Skyrim Legendary Light Armor

If you don't enchant armor yourself, then you will be interested in legendary sets, and if you do not have the DLC installed, the best you can get is scolding from the Dark Brotherhood, or rather its old version in the faction task "Find an assassin from the past". Her kits, if they have, if not the same parameters, then a bit better.

There are two more Powerful Bundles available to Dragonborn owners.

In TESO, there is no clear division between classes of armor types, each class can wear any type of armor: light, medium and heavy. Different game classes and your game strategies, depending on the type of armor, can be both beneficial and degrade parameters and create inconvenience. Below we will look at all the spells and skills available in specific armor skill lines.

Light armor

Light armor is one of the most popular types of armor and is often chosen by support classes, mages, and healers: common casters that are not commonly found on the battlefield and do not require such protection as melee classes. As such, it is most popular with sorcerers and templars. The light armor skill line contains one active spell and five different passive abilities, most of which give you a bonus to magic (mana) or extra defense.

Active abilities:

    • Annulment - Creates 15% damage over 20 seconds and you take 50% less damage from the spell.

Passive Abilities:

  • Evolve (3 ranks) – Reduces the magic cost of spells by 1% for each piece of light armor you have equipped.
  • Recovery (2 ranks) – Increases magicka regeneration by 2% for each piece of light armor.
  • Spell (2 ranks) – Increases your character's spell resistance by 3% for each piece of light armor.
  • Prodigy (2 ranks) - While wearing at least 5 pieces of light armor, the chance to be critically hit by an enemy is reduced by 5%.
  • Concentration (2 ranks) – You ignore 3% of your enemy's magic resistance per piece of light armor equipped.

Medium armor

Medium armor is ideal for assassins and rangers. The bonuses of this type of armor give an increase to agility and endurance, so it can be used in melee classes such as tank, templar, etc. Below is a list of active and passive skills in the medium armor skill tree!

Active abilities:

    • Evasion - 15% increased chance to dodge for 17 seconds.

Passive Abilities:

  • Agility (3 ranks) – Increases your critical strike chance by 1% when using each piece of medium armor.
  • Wind Walker (2 ranks) - Your stamina regeneration is increased by 2% per piece of medium armor equipped.
  • Toughness (2 ranks) - You gain 3% stealth, and reduce your stamina cost by 4% for each medium armor you have equipped.
  • Agility (2 ranks). Your attack speed is increased by 5% if you are wearing 5 or more medium armor.
  • Battlefield Mobility (2 ranks). Your sprint speed is increased by 2% and your stamina to dodge attacks is reduced by 2% per piece of armor.

Heavy armor

Heavy armor is designed for melee fighters. It offers the best defense and health regeneration, making it ideal for classes like Templar or Dragon Knight. Even melee DPS characters often wear heavy armor due to the increased defensive potential, and some mages may use it as well.

Active abilities:

    • Immovable - Increases your armor and spell resistance by 17 for 8 seconds and makes you immune to knockback and disable effects for the duration.

Passive Abilities:

  • Resolution (3 ranks) – For each piece of heavy armor equipped with your physical mitigation and spell resistance, increases by 1%.
Constitution (2 ranks). Your health regeneration is increased by 2% for each piece of heavy armor you have equipped.
  • Juggernaut (2 ranks) – Increases the power of your melee attacks by 0.5% per piece of heavy armor.
  • Fortress (2 ranks). The stamina cost for blocking attacks is reduced by 10% if you are wearing 5 or more pieces of heavy armor.
  • Rapid Mending - Heals you 0.5% more powerful for each heavy armor equipped.
