Telltale Games one of the few studios that really knows how to make good adventure games. This series of games about the adventures of Wallis and Gromit was no exception. The collection includes 4 episodes of this game.

Tales from the Borderlands- episodic adventure game from the studio Telltale Games based on the popular universe Borderlands... As in the latest works of this studio, the decisions made by the player will affect the further development of the plot and relationships with other characters in the game. Also in Tales from the Borderlands there will be shootouts that the series is full of Borderlands.

In 2012, Telltale Games released the game that completely changed the future of the company - The Walking Dead: Season One. When the project first hit online gaming stores and became available for ordering, no one knew what to expect. In essence, the game is an interactive novel. In a world where gameplay, graphics and visuals are at the fore, there was only one thing to fear: that the game would not live up to the expectations of gamers.

Fortunately, the global community quickly realized that The Walking Dead is much more than just (point and click). She has a heart, which not every game can boast of (although they all strive for this). After getting acquainted with the game, millions of ordinary gamers become true fans of Telltale Games' creativity. Now every new studio project gets the attention it deserves. Of course, before The Walking Dead came out, Telltale Games had equally interesting games that raised the bar for storytelling to the next level.

But which of them deserves our attention more than the rest? Next, we'll take a look at all of Telltale's games and compile a list of the top ten.

10. Back to the Future

In the new adventure quest Back to the Future from Telltale Games, you can go back to with Marty McFly and Dr. Brown! And the time is coming to an end!

We last saw Dr. Emmett Brown in the closing scene of the third Back to the Future movie. Together with his adorable companion, he went somewhere in his new super-cool time machine, or rather the train. The game takes place six months after the last adventures of Marty and Doc in the last film. A dangerous and thrilling adventure begins after DeLorean returns to Marty's time. Because Doc is in real trouble this time. No kidding.

Like most of Telltale's recent projects, Back to the Future: The Game is an interactive movie. Since the game's plot is based on the popular classic film trilogy, the gameplay fits perfectly into the genre. You no longer have to move your eyes from one side of the screen to the other. In an IBO world (back to the future), you can take control of Marty McFly, our favorite teenager ever. To save Doc, you will have to visit several time periods.

In Back to the Future, you will have a unique opportunity to meet a young Doc from 1931. This is a real gift for all fans of the original trilogy. The next moment - Christopher Lloyd and Michael J. Fox (actors of the original films) took part in the creation of the project and voiced their characters. All in all, Back to the Future: The Game deserves a spot on Telltale's best games list. Only loafers think differently!

Marty and Dr. Brown are back together and it's really cool. You can take part in the insanely funny dialogues between the two.
Where we are going, roads are not needed. Just ... Just don't look down!

9. Jurassic Park: The Game

8. Game of Thrones

And here is the number eight of our rating, and this position deservedly goes to Telltale. Game of Thrones is an insanely popular HBO series. This is a medieval fantasy that can be safely called a worthy competitor for the series of films "". The television series is based on the writer George Martin. Now, Telltale is continuing the legacy of Game of Thrones with a project of its own.

Telltale's Game of Thrones provides us with a unique opportunity to embark on a new adventure like no other game released by the studio. We play as a young swineherd. Our young hero takes the stage as the third season of the TV show ends, while the cunning Lord Bolton is trying to take over his homeland. This is the starting point, after which we get control over the character, who will have to avoid terrible dangers. Game of Thrones: The Telltale Series is filled with intrigue, kidnappings, epic battles and much more that is why we love the Game of Thrones series so much.

Fans of the original TV show will love the game. If you do not consider yourself a fan of the series, then after a few minutes in the game, be sure to reconsider your views.

Can you outwit those who try to trample you?

7. Minecraft: Story Mode

If you haven't heard of Minecraft yet, then you must have lived somewhere in the mountains until 2009! Markus Persson and Jens Bergensten created the game known as Minecraft back in 2009. Players from all over the world literally went crazy, being able to use their skills to create the world. Minecraft was wildly popular, allowing you to create various toys, moving figures and even books. We now have Minecraft: Story Mode.

Like many other games on this list, Minecraft: Story Mode is a point-and-click quest in which progress depends on the decisions made in the process. But, unlike other Telltale projects, in the beginning you can create your own character! As befits Minecraft, you can choose the gender and appearance. Additionally, Telltale added building elements to the game that made Minecraft so popular.

Thanks to this feature, the game really stands out from other similar projects. Minecraft: Story Mode is featured, making the gameplay even more interesting.

Meet Jesse, our protagonist. Its appearance will completely depend on you!
The game is great for family fun! Especially with children!

6. Guardians of the Galaxy

Unlike the classic cosmo universe, Telltale offers a completely different take on the superhero epic. So don't even hope to see Star-Lord look like Chris Pratt or hear Bradley Cooper in the voice of Rocket Raccoon. We swam - we know. Here is a completely new storytelling from Telltale.

Guardians of the Galaxy: A Telltale Series starts with a shot! Supersonic chases in purple outer space are even more fun when all five guardians take part in them. And this exciting feeling will not leave you throughout the entire game. Control a team of intergalactic heroes trying to take the Eternal Forge from the dangerous woman Hala the Accuser. While she tries to rebuild the ancient civilization of the Kree, the guards will have to put all their differences aside to prevent her from destroying what they hold dear.

A fun fact about Guardians of the Galaxy is that Telltale worked closely with Marvel to create the game. Therefore, they managed to incredibly accurately convey that very atmosphere. It is immediately evident that they put their soul into this project.

Travel to the farthest reaches of the galaxy as Star-Lord, the finest interplanetary universe this universe has ever seen.
Star-Lord, Gamora, Rocket Raccoon and Groot come together and are ready for new adventures.

5. Sam and Max series

Sam and Max are not your typical cops. It is an anthropomorphic and "hyperkinetic rabbit-like creature" who call themselves private detectives. This clumsy heroic couple is capable of solving any case, no matter how dangerous (or ridiculous) it may be. As a result, we have the honor to get acquainted with the funniest gameplay of all Telltale projects.

In the Sam and Max series of games, you control two small characters, helping them deal with difficult cases. Judging by the rest of the characters from the S&M universe, they are so complex that the frivolous Sam and the manic Max can hardly cope with them on their own. But thanks to your help, they are ready to do whatever is required of them to solve a difficult case (and receive a reward for it!). You can freely switch between Sam and Max, interrogate wacky suspects, fight evil bosses and decide. And you will definitely like Max's crazy jokes, which will bring you to hysterical laughter more than once throughout the game.

The series was well received by the public, which is why Telltale's episodic video game was a success. The humorous component that accompanies the relationship between Sam and Max will surely resonate with real fans, to whom you serve more and more.

Sam and Max were created by Steve Purcell, before that they were part of the original series.
Ask questions that will help you solve the case!

4. The Wolf Among Us

The fourth place deservedly goes to the project The Wolf Among Us. Most of the gamers could not imagine what a sensation this game would make. Of course, for comparison, we have The Walking Dead. But it was a pro game, from which we expected some kind of playability. The Wolf Among Us project has become something completely different, with which many of us were not even familiar. Nevertheless, the Telltale Games studio was able to surprise us with their project.

In The Wolf Among Us, you control the big gray wolf Bigby. He's the sheriff of the fictional Fabletown neighborhood, which is in. The inhabitants of Fabletown are called Fables, because, immediately understand, these are truly fabulous creatures from legends, ancient and not so, myths. You can meet the famous Beauty (from the fairy tale "Beauty and the Beast"), who has fun with Bloody Mary. Bigby's main task is to maintain peace and harmony between all the legends. When a brutal assassin appears in Fabletown, a daunting task falls on the shoulders of the big gray wolf. Find and care for the tranquility of Fabletown's residents.

We believe that among all the reasons due to which the game gained its popularity, one can distinguish a dark plot and unusual plot twists, which are based on the events of fairy tales known to us from childhood. Due to the fact that we know all the main characters in absentia, the shock that we experience at the sight of something cruel, as in the case of the domestic violence case (which you will encounter at the very beginning of the game), makes us closely follow the further development of the plot.

The Gray Wolf Bigby and Snow (Snow White), but not like many of us are used to seeing them. The Wolf Among Us is a darker, more modern take on classic fairy tale characters.

3. Batman - The Telltale Series

There are many interpretations of the story about, but none of them are similar to this one. The story of this character is quite tragic. Bruce Wayne's parents were killed right in front of him when he was still a child. He inherited their fortune, after which he decided to use his money and power to clear the streets of Gotham of criminals. He constructs a super-powerful Batman suit that protects the body from blows and bullets. In addition to everything, it equips him with a huge number of cool and useful gadgets. But where does the plot go after that?

Batman: The Telltale Series and Batman: The Enemy Within are two projects based on the original Batman comic book plot, but then deviate from the main storyline, making it more interesting. Telltale Studio not only created for us a new Bruce Wayne, but also completely redesigned his alter ego, Batman. In the game, we will also be able to get acquainted with the changed villains, who have become more lively and realistic, and not stupid characters. Batman's fights are insane! It is unlikely that you will be able to get away from the screen if you plan to outwit and defeat your really strong enemies. Dynamic QTE (quick-time action events) scenes here are the most complex of those that we have ever seen in Telltale games.

Another thing that we liked so much about the new version of Batman is the changes in the relationship between different characters. We will not spoil you for those who are not yet familiar with the game, but we are sure that you will definitely appreciate them.

The story of Batman is a fresh and completely different take on our favorite villains from the famous universe. Can you change the fate of Gotham by getting to know these villainous psychopaths a little better?
Of all the games from Telltale, Batman: The Telltale Series is the most action packed game. Dodge punches, fight in hand-to-hand combat and outsmart your foes with Bruce Wayne's Super Suit.

2. Tales from the Borderlands

What happens if you mix an expensive artifact, a bounty hunter with rather unusual facial expressions and a bunch of outrageous criminals in one game? Clean.

When Telltale studio announced Tales from the Borderlands, fans of the famous franchise from all over the world shouted "Take our money!" A more detailed acquaintance with the world of the popular FPS first-person shooter, this is exactly what we all wanted.

Telltale Studios did not disappoint. Tales from the Borderlands is filled with the famous humor and dynamic QTE scenes for which the famous games from the famous Borderlands franchise. We control Fiona and Reese, two completely different characters who collide as Reese makes a forced landing on the lands of Pandora. Despite the protagonist's hatred of the desert called the Borderlands, who calls it a garbage land of sand and sorrow, we quickly realize that this world has its own history.

You will be able to meet all the unusual indigenous people, including the unbalanced curator of the "museum", meet a variety of ultra-cool bounty hunters, cute (and deadly) robots, and even friendly ones! As you help Reese on his daunting task, and possibly to become the next Handsome Jack (this is a mad madman that can be found in some previous projects of the Borderlands franchise), you will have to make some difficult decisions, so you and your gang of strange companions will be able to keep your heads above the sands of the Borderlands.

Reese wants to be the next Handsome Jack. He will have to be more careful with this important gentleman if he is definitely going to achieve his goal.
One of the coolest features of Tales from the Borderlands is the Loader Bot. This is Reese's cheeky cannon bot Hyperion. Yvette, Reese's girlfriend, sends him to help Reese. In the game, you can fully customize it to defeat your opponents.

1. The Walking Dead series

Of course, the first place on our list goes to The Walking Dead. Not only is this a great series of games in itself, it was he who made Telltale's projects so popular.

The events of the first season tell about the very beginning of the apocalypse, when the dead are just beginning to appear in the United States. Throughout the game, we are guided by Lee, our favorite protagonist of all Telltale games. He meets other survivors while trying to escape from his past into an unknown future. On the way, he meets a little girl named Clementine. This meeting will change them forever. As the story progresses, the group of survivors grows and changes, and we learn more and more about ourselves. The game is filled with tragedy, true love and tough choices. We are sure that at the end of the first season, everyone cried like a child.

With quirky plot twists, fast-paced action, and realistic characters, The Walking Dead has ensured the popularity of games in the genre. The series of games based on the "Walking Dead" will forever remain in our hearts and here, in the first place in the list of ten best games from the Telltale studio.

We looked at all the Telltale games and tried to find the best ones.

Telltale have built a foothold in their corner of the gaming industry, with their own gaming style. The studio started developing games in the style of Lucasarts quests, but in 2011 they started something new. The Telltale series is based on the format we've seen in Japanese visual novels, but with a Western twist and an episode break. Telltale handled the format so well that it was even adopted by other studios, most notably Life is Strange by Dontnod Ent.

As with other storytelling games, Telltale became attached to a specific formula that could be applied in a variety of fields. Galaxy: The Telltale Series, April 2018, became the tenth game in the series, and the series began with Jurassic Park.

I enjoyed (and in places pain) all of Telltale's games. And I think it's time to judge and put the franchise's products in order. Well, not all. Only games from a specific setting, so Puzzle Agent, Back to the Future and Tales of Monkey Island will not be on this list. Also, we do not take into account The Walking Dead: New Frontier - since the series is not over. Let's see what we got.

First episode: November 2011

The premise: We start off with the worst game in the series, but it also pioneered an entire subgenre. Jurassic Park: The game takes place during and after the main plot of the first film. The game was created in collaboration with Universal Studios.

You can play as one of several members of disparate groups during the main disaster of the first part, the main characters are: Harry Harding, creator of the park, Sarah Harding, scientist Dr. Laura Sorkin and mercenary Billy Yoder. Switching from one character to another, players try to survive in the park and get to the bottom of what is happening.

Overview: The project is really bad. The only impressive thing is that this game served as the basis for other Telltale projects. The characters in Jurassic Park are not memorable and the plot is incomplete. This is really a problem, since the format of the games includes world exploration, mini-puzzles and quick-time events (where you have to press buttons at the right time), which is why the story is so important. Everything is based on vivid characters and dialogues and an incredible adventure. Jurassic Park has none of this, although it is based on an amazing film.

First episode: February 2016

The premise: One of the shortest games in the franchise, just three episodes. The Walking Dead: Michonne is a spin-off story to the comic book. Players are given a story everyone loved, Michonne when she left Rick's group in Episode 126 of the comic. It was originally planned to release the game as additional content for the second season of The Walking Dead, but it was decided to release it as a standalone project.

Overview To begin with, the gap between Jurassic Park and The Walking Dead: Michonne is huge. The problem here is size. With just three episodes, Telltale simply didn't have enough time to form a strong, independent story.

Michonne herself is a very strong character, portrayed in the style of Samira Wiley from Orange Is the New Black, but the rest of the characters in the game are average. The plot is predictable, and since the duration is not so long, the illusion of choice (for which the series is so famous) is very blurred. Let's add technical bugs and glitches. The Walking Dead: Michonne is more of a side step than a failure.

First episode: October 2015

The premise: Based on the worldwide hit Minecraft, Minecraft: Story Mode is arguably the most family-friendly game in the series. Players can choose a male or female character, Jess, to save the world from the coming winter storm by uniting in the Order of the Stone. Unfortunately, the main characters do not like each other, so Jess and friends go on a journey around the world.

Overview: I really like Minecraft: Story Mode - it's an easier and more fun game among other titles. Unfortunately, the lightness of the tones comes with a fairly straightforward kid-focused storyline that won't surprise anyone over 10.

Also worth noting is the frequency of episodes. There are 8 episodes in total, 5 of which are the main plot and 3 are as additional content. The main episodes were aired once a month, and there were also small parts, as well as really long episodes.

The extra content was rather odd, focusing more on the Minecraft fan service than the 5 episodes of the main storyline. And also the whole story ended quite smoothly, without a satisfactory conclusion. It seemed like Telltale just didn't know where to lead the story.

First episode: December 2014

The premise: At the pinnacle of Game of Thrones popularity, Telltale offered a 6-episode adventure based on the film adaptation of Robert Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire. While the story runs parallel to the TV show, Telltale has focused on the Forester House, one of the noble houses under the Stark banner. The events take place after the "Bloody Wedding" and the House of Foresters tries to survive and plays their game of thrones. As a bonus, the developers consulted with Robert Martin himself, and the actors from the TV show took part in the play of their characters.

Overview: The problem was episode releases. The first was in December 2014, when the sixth was released in November 2015 and there were two to three months between some episodes. The first couple of episodes set the pace for the game well, so scheduling problems tarnished its reputation.

I would call this game one of Telltale's most ambitious endeavors, where the choices really seem to matter right up until the last episode. Unfortunately, the fact that the Foresters resemble the Starks, only softened in warmth, does not help either. The end of the season was also unsatisfactory. The players still have a lot of questions. For example, what happened to the Northern Grove. The announcement of a second season will probably put the series back on track.

First episode: December 2013

The premise: After a few years after the first part of The Walking Dead: Season One series, Clementine became a teenager who survives on her own. She joined a group of survivors who are doing everything they can to make her life hell and put her at mortal risk. But Clementine is still the best.

Overview: The second season was a great sequel, where the players were allowed to play as the older and wiser Clem. And it seems that this is the fruit of our labors in the first season. The problem here is that the plot feels pointless, with Clem dragging everything on his shoulders. Most of the characters are just made to die, and the game is about deciding who is to stay alive and who is not.

When we get to the last episode, we see an ending that lacks the atmosphere that the episode set. It's a good season, but it hasn't been able to surpass its predecessor.

First episode: August 2016

The premise: By disconnecting from previous work, Telltale has a chance to tell a new story about the Dark Knight. Here we see Batman early in his career, who has yet to find his niche in Gotham. In addition, we get equal parts of Bruce Wayne and his legacy as well as his dark role. Batman: The Telltale Series also announced a crowd-play system for evaluating choices among all players, and players were able to see what choices, in percentage terms, were made by all players.

Overview: I started this game without expecting much and was very surprised. As a comic book fanatic, I appreciated Telltale's approach to this story. The peculiarity was that more attention is paid to Bruce Wayne, and not on Batman: he really plunges into the consequences of Thomas Wayne's actions, the dubious path of Bruce Wayne's childhood friend Oswald Cobblepot, and also seeing what Wayne means in Gotham. It's a more human approach to Batman, and it worked.

The problem was that the illusion of choice was quickly shattered after just a couple of episodes. Choices that seem important have no consequences. This is a problem with some of the Telltale games, but it was all too obvious here. I also think there was enough story thread to work without going over to the Arkham kids at the end of the season. Too much, but so little room to maneuver.

I understand that all this may sound harsher than I described in The Walking Dead Season 2, but in my opinion the work here is still better done. Telltale knew what they wanted to do, but the implementation didn't come out 100% well.

First episode: April 2012

The premise: It really was the beginning of the Telltale we know today. Based on the Walking Dead comic series by Robert Kirkman, the game tells the story of several survivors of a zombie apocalypse. Former university professor Lee Everett was released on his way to prison, helped by zombies. After Lee meets a little girl, Clementine, whom she takes under her protection. Lee and Clem with other survivors seek refuge and Clem's parents.

Overview: Who knew Telltale hid such potential? What really worked for the first season was the relationship between Lee and Clem. In the past, he is a professor who committed a terrible crime, and Clem guides his moral compass. Lee knows that he killed a man and realizes that he will have to kill more in order to survive, but Clem's salvation is the only thing he needs.

While the rest of the characters are fairly well-chosen, the relationship between Lee and Clem forms a solid core of the game that satisfies all needs and leads to a bitter ending. What the company's games are lacking right now is strong emotional motivation, and in Walking Dead they fully coped with the task.

First episode: October 2013

The premise: Another comic adaptation, this time based on Fables by Bill Willingham. Players are given the chance to experience the role of the sheriff of the fabulous city of Bigby Wolf (known as the Big Bad Wolf). The woman died and someone from the fairytale city is to blame for this, which means that Bigby will have to get to the bottom of the truth. Noir story, where each character is a fairytale hero.

Overview: Telltale went all out in this episode! If the Walking Dead was a surprise, The Wolf Among Us showed that the studio really knows what it's doing. The scale is pretty small but so layered. The relationship between Bigby and the rest of the residents, including Snow White and Bluebeard. The detachment and despair of the lower city plays in contrast with the lower world and the elite of the city of Fable.

Bigby is a great character, but The Wolf Among Us gives us a picture of who he was before and was one of the best decisions in the company's history. If linking episodes is sometimes difficult for a company, then here they really worked out great.

First episode: November 2014

The premise: Tales from the Borderlands is an unusual game. The action takes place in the Borderlands universe, which was developed by Gearbox Software. You control two characters: an employee of the Hyperion company - Reese, who is waiting for the long-awaited promotion, the second is the artist Fiona, who is hungry for big profit. The story is told from the faces of the main characters and shows players different points of view on what is happening.

Overview Tales from the Borderlands is simply the best game Telltale has ever released. Between the duels of the protagonist, there is a wonderful story, full of humor, action, and a good degree of resonance. The transitions from the present - from Riza and Fiona in captivity - to their past adventures, are done in an amazing style. It looks like a great TV show with great production and direction.

Tales from the Borderlands is really fun, like the dialogue, digression and even text from Reese's scanner eye. This is a great adventure that combines modern realities and classic westerns. The main characters are strong, and the supporting characters make the picture livelier; the interactions between the characters are just wonderful.

And when you get attached to these characters, the sensual moments between them are truly amazing. The formula is simple and really easy to recreate, but when Telltale takes over, a masterpiece awaits us.

Tales from the Borderlands has yet to be outdone.
