Guide to creating stunt races in GTA Online. Guide to creating stunt races in GTA Online How to open a race in GTA 5 online

The Cunning Stunts update for the online version of Grand Theft Auto 5 has expanded the capabilities of the regular content editor, or rather its part responsible for creating custom races.

Despite the fact that the functionality of the toolkit has remained the same for the most part, the updated editor allows you to radically transform the standard races. For example, they can feature moving obstacles, sound effects, collectable RP boosters, and boost lanes that will be the main intrigue of most races. In this guide, we will explain all these innovations so that anyone can start creating the race of their dreams without any problems.

How to create a stunt race in GTA Online

In order to get into the stunt racing editor, you need to pause the game, and then find the “Content Editor” item in the menu. After a short load, the user will be able to choose what type of content they want to create, and in one of the sub-menus there will be an option called “Stunt Race”.

The initial stage of creation is similar to how work begins on any other race: names, descriptions, title image are determined. Also, the user can set the desired type of race, route, available transport, and so on.

For more information about creating races, read our guide [guide title with link].

Accommodation

After passing the basic stage, it is necessary to choose the placement of the players, which will determine where the race will start.

As with other options when creating a route, this parameter is controlled in the same way as always. First, put an activator, a camera in the lobby and control points, after which you can move on to the most “delicious” - obstacles and other objects.

Obstacles and objects

Up to 500 objects and obstacles can be placed on each map created in the racing section of the GTA Online Content Editor. It was they who became the main “highlight” of the Cunning Stunts add-on, so in this section you can find the largest number of innovations.

Let's take a look at them one by one to reveal their main features:

Stunt sections

In fact, these are real “roads in heaven”, because they can literally be laid through the air. The editor has many separate fragments of such stunt sections, thanks to which you can completely forget about the land route and lay the entire race exclusively by air. There are a lot of options, so you can realize even the craziest fantasies.

Pipes

It is also worth highlighting the pipes, which play the same role, but have a slightly smaller surface for the parallel movement of several cars. They have a rounded section, so if you wish, you can overtake the player by simply driving along the wall. It's dangerous, but not for a real stuntman, right? In addition to fine-tuning the configuration due to the large number of components, it is also possible to change the color of the pipes.

Venues

If you really want to give the players some room to maneuver, then you can use the platforms hanging in the air. They come in a wide range of sizes and colors to add variety to the race and make it even more glamorous.

Springboards

Depending on its size and angle, the Cunning Stunts trampoline allows you to gain an advantage by landing directly on the heads of your opponents or in front of them. The creator of the race himself can choose whether the passage of the springboard is mandatory for each participant, or whether they can be bypassed and continue along the route without the risk of breaking his neck. The springboard color can be edited in the same way as the colors of other objects.

Objects for tricks

To make the trip not too boring, you can use the section of objects that are designed to perform various tricks, both dangerous and very dangerous. The choice here is quite large: various spiral fragments, dead loops, obstacles, additional types of jumps, and much more.

Road signs

Just like in real life, the signs in the Grand Thefu Auto Online Stunt Race Editor are designed to inform the player of certain circumstances that lie ahead. With the help of them, you can notify participants in the race about turns, advise you to slow down before passing a particularly dangerous participant, and so on. You can also paint over the badges with emblems of various racing brands and sponsors for purely decorative purposes.

Special objects

An interesting section of the editor where the user can place fire rings, pyrotechnic effects, giant tires and other decorative objects. There are also sound alerts that allow you to give the race a special sound, and also make it possible to warn participants in the race about something. Or just make some noise.

It is interesting that among the special objects there are special accelerators, during the passage of which the player picks up speed faster. In this case, you can, on the contrary, invert their effect, and then the players will slow down when hitting them.

Dynamic objects

To make the race even more exciting, additional interactive obstacles can be added to it. It can be giant bowling balls, skittles, balls and other interesting things. Thanks to them, you can cause chaos in the course of the competition, as well as reward players with additional RP points for colliding with marked objects.

New Race Editor Features

In addition to new objects, there are also fundamentally new features of the racing editor, which allows you to improve not only stunt racing, but also any other.

For example, one of the most interesting features allows you to change the position of objects after interacting with them.

The add-on also increased the limit of additional objects (not obstacles) from 100 to 150, which allows you to place more sound effects and decorations to improve the appearance of the track.

Overwriting objects

As noted above, using this functionality, you can dynamically change the position of an object in space when the player interacts with it. You can change the coordinates in three dimensions (X, Y, Z).

Binding

So that the creator of the race does not have to worry about the fact that there may be gaps between the sections, the developers of Rockstar Games have implemented a convenient snapping system. It is especially convenient when creating a road, as it makes it possible to automatically fit fragments to each other without any tricks. The binding also works when placing other objects and blocks.

Placement on top of each other

After the update, the GTA Online Race Editor can handle the placement of objects on top of each other. If earlier it was necessary to install them only on a plane, now you can make real turrets from various objects, so that then the riders effectively knock them over, ramming them with a bumper.

Alternative checkpoints

For a very long time, players have been asking developers to implement the possibility of creating alternative routes on race tracks. And in the Cunning Stunts addon, these requests were heard.

You can now make forks in the editor to give racers a choice. As a rule, this is a choice between a longer, but safe, section, and a short, but life-threatening one.

Circular control points

Since pipes with rounded walls appeared, the developers quite logically decided to add an additional kind of control point. When passing them, it does not matter at what angle the car travels.

Good day. For an introduction, I’ll say that I started playing GTA only on a PC. There were no ploys and most likely will not be. Before the release of GTA V on the computer, I reviewed a bunch of videos about the game. Having gone through the plot, I went online and almost immediately fell in love with the racing mode. In this topic, I would like to discuss the intricacies of the online racing mode: which cars to choose in certain types, how to start correctly, correctly use the air pocket and other little things that add up to victory.

Interesting standard racing mode. Without shooting, crazy jumps, nitro and other nonsense. A good race is a combination of turns of varying difficulty, passing through which, it is not enough just to step on the gas without interruption. You need to know when to slow down and when to speed up your car. For example, there is Rockstar's "Learning Curve" race, located in the northwestern part of the LAN. In my opinion, it is ideal for testing and honing the skill of the rider. Throughout its length, it keeps its eyes on the road, and fingers in tension are ready to slow down at any second for the exact passage of blind turns.

That's all I'm for. In GTA V, the mechanics of the movement of cars and handling on different types of soil are very well done. Racing, as a separate game within a game, can keep you busy for hours and bring pleasure no less than gunfights and robberies.

I will share my experience and observations.

First: Start. Anyone who has played GTA V's racing mode may have noticed how some players rush faster than others from the first second. The so-called ideal start is possible when you squeeze out the gas by 80% of the maximum tachometer value (I don’t know the exact number, so share if anyone knows). This achieves maximum traction and as a result you can pick up speed faster than others at the start.

Second: Air pocket. When setting up a race, the Host, or simply the creator of the race, can set the air pocket parameter. In the vast majority of cases, this option is enabled, so it is very important to know how to use it correctly to get the maximum advantage in the race. I'll tell you about the principle of the "pocket". An air pocket is an aerodynamic phenomenon that manifests itself at high speeds. The bottom line is that the car in front, traveling at high speed, “cuts” the air, so to speak, taking on resistance, which reduces the maximum speed. When you are driving behind a car at high speed, the air currents enveloping the car in front create a silhouette in which you are affected by air resistance much less than the car in front of you. Thus, with the same power of cars, you can develop a higher speed than your opponent and overtake him. Now about how to properly use the air pocket. The main mistake of all beginners is that, while driving behind an opponent, they put pressure on the gas without releasing, which leads to a collision with the car in front, and as a result, to the loss of a very important speed. Do not be afraid to release the gas while driving in an air pocket, keeping a safe distance (near the body of the car), and at the right moment, when the width of the free road is enough to overtake, let the gas go and overtake the opponent, avoiding contact with his car so as not to lose speed, or even don't go off the track.

Third: The advantage of creating an air pocket. I have already told you how to use the air pocket. But what to do if you are driving ahead, and the enemy is trying to overtake you. In most cases, I watch how the players begin to wag furiously from side to side, ram the opponent and freak out. I do not recommend doing all this. I will explain why: the most important thing is that you yourself lose speed when ramming the enemy, and this does not lead to anything good. In most cases, ramming at high speed leads to a departure from the track. How to take advantage of the fact that someone wants to overtake you. Let's take an example from a vacuum: let's say the track is straight 100 miles ahead and you need to go through it as quickly as possible. Let's say your speed does not rise above 100MpH without an air pocket, and in the air pocket it reaches 120MpH. So, if no one overtakes you, then you will cover 100 miles in exactly 1 hour, but if you and your opponent change places one by one, then the passage of the section will be less than one hour, which, in principle, is one of the goals of the race - passing the section of the track for the shortest period of time. So the advice, if you notice that your opponent is preparing to overtake you, do everything in your power to make it happen as quickly as possible, but do not lose your speed. To do this, try to keep as straight a trajectory as possible, avoiding sharp turns. At the moment of overtaking, do not touch the enemy, but as soon as he overtakes you, "catch" his air pocket and follow the already known scenario for using it. I repeat once again: DO NOT FIGHT WITH RIVALS, this has never led to anything good.

Fourth: Race on motorcycles. Motorcycle racing has its pitfalls. Namely, to achieve high speeds, it is not enough just to press the button forward. For more acceleration, you need to stand on the rear wheel (LCtrl) or duck down (X key). Perhaps because of these "stones" I do not like motorcycle racing, my fingers get tired quickly ...

That's all for now. Write your "life hacks" on racing, I'm sure that I don't know any subtleties yet.

P.S. Many letters - I know. But it will help to cut off agroshkololo. And those who read to the end will become really good conversationalists on the topic of racing in GTA ONLINE.

Good luck to everyone on the paved expanses of GTA racing. (nickname in the game YokoMaze - add)

- To play GTA: Online, the main thing is to have a licensed GTA 5 disc and an Internet connection. With a pirated version, multiplayer will not start, and the console may get banned. By running the disc with the Five, you can select "Download GTA: Online" during the download. There is a small time limit - if a single game is already loaded, you will need to go to "Online" from there. There are two more ways: through the circle of characters (the multiplayer hero is at the bottom, his or her color is blue) or through the pause menu. Select the "Network" tab, then "Play GTA: Online" and create a new session or connect to one created by others. The first two ways will connect to a random session (first, they will look for those where there are members of your team or friends, if there are none, they will pick up the one where the players are closer to you in terms of level and skills). Only the third way (through the pause menu) guarantees entry into one of the desired types of sessions (more on this question below).

2. Do I need a Gold account (Xbox 360 paid subscription) to play GTA: Online?

- Xbox 360 owners really need a Gold account (paid subscription) on Xbox Live to play GTA: Online, and PS3 owners do not need a paid PlayStationPlus subscription, just registering with PSNetwork.

3. Why register with RGSC before playing GTA: Online?

- Registration in the "Social Club" will give the player not only the opportunity to join teams and access to their statistics and photo storage, but also a lot of nice bonuses: Sawed-off Shotgun, Annis Elegy RH8 sports car, John Marston's father's gene and a ticket to everything online - Events hosted by Rockstar.

4. How to get bonus cars?

- To get one Annis Elegy RH8 sports car for each hero, including multiplayer, you need to register with the RGSC. To get one Hotknife for each single player hero and a Khamelion electric car for multiplayer, you need to redeem the code included in the boxes with special and collector's editions.

5. What are the sessions in GTA: Online?

- There are a lot of options for connecting to a session: you can create a new one that players can connect to, you can connect to others yourself, you can play in a session with friends or team members, or you can create your own private session to which no one can connect. The latter option is usually used to complete a task or open an achievement without strangers.

6. How to create a private private session?

- Go to the "Network" tab in the pause menu, from there, through "Play GTA: Online", to "Create a private session".

7. How many characters can be created in GTA: Online?

- In the regular edition of the game, only two character slots are available, each of them needs to be downloaded and supplied with real estate and junk separately. In the special and collector's editions, you can create as many as five multiplayer characters.

8. Can a woman play in GTA: Online?

- You can play as a man or a woman. Different genders have different wardrobes, however, some habits are quite the same. Apparently, the developers blundered here, endowing female characters with the same animations, for example, when visiting a strip club or a prostitute, as men.

9. Can more cars be stored in garages?

- Not. The system works the same as in individual garages in single player. It will be possible to drive into the garage only the allowed number of vehicles: 2, 6 or 10. In addition, the player can only have one garage, therefore, the maximum number of parking spaces in GTA: Online is 10 (ten).

10. How to open new tasks, new clothes, new weapons and more?

- To unlock new quests, new clothes, new weapons, new car modifications, and more, you need to level up your character by earning reputation points.

11. How to quickly level up (earn reputation points) without using prohibited methods and bugs?

- The first 20-30 levels are achieved by carefully studying the game world and activities in it. Further - harder. The method described below describes how to level up a character as soon as possible, but it can seem quite boring, if not always. So, let's start the race around the Bolingbroke prison (on the map this is a characteristic polygon, near the highway from Los Santos to Sandy Shores). The task is called "Criminal File" (in a short period it became, perhaps, the most visited among the players). Due to the length of the circle, the accumulation of reputation points (RP) is very fast. Points can be gained by circling alone, but more RP is given if there is at least one opponent. By the way, you don't have to win. After completing one lap, you get so many points that RP points in the prize pool may seem like a trifle. Unfortunately, it is impossible to score points for each round by setting them to 99. Around level 50, a maximum of points will bring a race of 3-4 laps. Closer to the 80th, the number of circles should be set to 3, and then even less - 2. The fact is that more and more often the limiter will work, which sets a limit in the set of RP points in one task. For the first round, about 3000 eyes are given, for the second - about 1000. With the desire and due perseverance, you can reach a really high level fairly quickly.

12. What is the main task in GTA: Online?

- As in other online games, the main task is to become the coolest player among many others. To do this, you need to increase the level of the character, earning RP reputation points, and, while opening new weapons and other "goodies", you need to buy weapons and upgrade them for money. In addition, money can buy apartments with garages, cars with modifications and clothes with other accessories. In general, the two main tasks are to get reputation points (RP) and earn in-game money ($). On the other hand, GTA: Online is not in vain built on the same concept as the single parts of the series, where the open world and freedom of action are taken as the basis. Therefore, each player is free to choose the main tasks for himself.

13. How to create a rally? How to create a GTA race? How to create a team deathmatch?

- To create a GTA rally or race, you need to select one of the tracks (tasks), specify the desired type of race in the lobby. To create a team deathmatch, you need to find a suitable task or set the team deathmatch type in the solo deathmatch lobby.

14. How to make a roll?

- Roll can be done by simultaneously pressing the L2 and square keys for PS3 and the LT and X keys for Xbox 360.

15. How to make a dash at the start of a race?

- For a quick start, you need to press the key responsible for the gas pedal (R2 button for PS3 and RT for Xbox 360) at the moment when the "GO!" signal appears. When counting from 3 to 1, do not press anything.

16. Is it possible to change the character's name in GTA Online?

- It is forbidden. It is linked to the console account.

17. How to transfer progress from one console to another?

- Progress can only be transferred to the updated version of the game (for PS4, Xbox One and PC). More about this process is written in a separate article.

18. How to save your favorite weapons by default in GTA Online?

- Go into GTA 5 single player, buy your favorite weapon from Ammu-Nation, save. Once loaded into GTA Online, you will see your favorite weapons in the right slots. Now there is no need to frantically switch the weapon you need.

19. Are GTA: Online add-ons out on PS3 and Xbox 360 anymore?

- That's right, add-ons for "Online" stopped coming out in the middle of 2015 - they became the last big ones for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game. The developers announced this in advance and prepared the players for it. Only minor updates are currently being released to improve the performance of the anti-cheat system and fix problems found in the game.

» stunt racing editor allows players to create the most incredible tracks, in which dizzying heights meet metal, fire and howling wind after the next jump.

Fundamentals and specifics

Of course, any stunt race is, first of all, a race, which means the basics remain the same, as when creating any traces. Once you've mastered the key principles (through a lot of existing guides or from personal experience), you can move on to the features that distinguish racers and stunt races.

So, hundreds of new objects are available for use. Remember that one track (now) can be no more than 150 objects, however another limitation is the overall memory usage. Given that you also have 20 dynamic objects available (like giant bowling pins and balls), you can run out of resources long before the number of objects exceeds even a hundred.

Therefore, it is especially important review the list in advance what you will work with and have at least a general idea of how you want to see your future track. This applies not only to individual components, but also to the overall color scheme and the “purpose” of the track. Before choosing the class of transport for which it is designed, test it on one of the machines this category.

Note that while the default Stunt Races created by Rockstar are Standard, you can select mode for your own - it can also be a regular race, GTA, rally or non-contact.

What's new

In addition to a huge set of stunt "props", in the DLC "Cunning Stunts" new features were added to the editor, about which in order.
Override, Snap, Stack
Three functions commonly used in conjunction. When placing an element, you can now set it exact location(coordinates and angle of rotation), and for even more jewelry work, zoom in on the track (on a PC, this is done by pressing LCtrl).

Further, the creation of extended paths is not complete without using the same element several times, not to mention fiddling with connecting objects. This is what the second function is for. clutch elements. It can work automatically (connecting the closest objects), or it can be activated manually (on personal computers - through a space) or it works “in a chain”, when each next added element is immediately connected to the previous one. It is already clear from the description how much time can be saved.

And finally, the creation of large-scale traces is made even easier by the function " heaps» Objects - you can easily stack them on top of each other, even in the uneven expanses of Los Santos, and no one will yell at you if the elements intersect.

Secondary and circular checkpoints
Since tracks can now be split in two, a new type of breakpoint has been introduced. Such secondary checkpoints(Secondary Checkpoints) differ in color, and during the race you can choose to pass any of the two.

Circular checkpoints(Circular Checkpoints) are not located on the ground, but "suspended" in space and resemble those used in air races or flight school. They are especially useful if you want to place a control point inside a pipe.

And a couple of other useful things:
  • We have already mentioned fireworks(what holiday without them?) - you can set them to work at certain points in the race;
  • Audio objects emit sounds- you can choose the sound itself and when approaching at what distance to the object it is played.

As if hundreds of objects are not enough, each or some of them also have very useful and interesting features:
  • To reuse a "configuration" in the future, you can save it to templates(Templates);
  • No one limits you in what to do with objects - come up with them unusual application(for example, turn fire rings from dangerous obstacles into spectacular decorations);
  • Of course, you are already used to living big, but in order not to exceed the allowed number of objects, it does not hurt to use one big item instead of several small ones;
  • Ramps can be used not only for jumps, but also for a smooth transition (more precisely, a flight) between parts of the track - for example, for jumping onto its inclined or vertical sections;
  • Don't forget about acceleration and deceleration- the former can not only make the race more dynamic, but also help in overcoming ground and air obstacles, while the latter can prevent you from flying off the track before a sharp turn or cliff.

How to make the track even better

  • It may be worthwhile to first collect the track completely in its " exemplary form, without adjusting anything to calculate whether you have enough elements at all to complete it;
  • Test, test, and more... The fastest way to do this is with the Tab key (on PC);
  • Check that players can pass all checkpoints even after respawning - this can be done manually, right in the testing mode;
  • By the way, about checkpoints - do not forget that their maximum number is limited to 68 pieces (it is strange that not 69, because Rockstar loves this number so much);
  • If you want to reward participants for crazy jumps and other tricks, enable the appropriate option in the race settings to reward the most courageous and skillful reputation bonuses;
  • Returning to the fireworks and sounds, their setting is very flexible, so that you can set the operation, for example, only for the player in the first place (holiday fireworks) or for the last one on the last lap (warning siren);
  • To make the track more memorable, use the environment creatively, existing roads and bridges, buildings and landmarks (this will also help reduce the number of objects);
  • Don't forget that the world of GTA 5 lives without your participation - and objects placed in the water can turn from a safety net into an obstacle when the tide goes out!

To help those who have not yet tried their hand at the editor, we present this guide for beginners. And soon we will publish an article with tips for creating firefights.

By the way, do you already have GTA 5? If not, you can play GTA Online right now for free with all the add-ons from Rockstar Games.

Start

First of all, you must decide what kind of competition you want to create. Will it be a land, sea, or air race, a two-wheeled cross-country ride, a coast-to-coast high-speed ride in classic sports cars, a jet fighter flight around the city, or something completely different? Having decided on the type of race, you will give your creation a shape, and then you can work on the content.

In the Race Options menu, you can adjust a number of settings, including available vehicles, time of day, number of laps, and weather conditions. Fear not: all these details can be changed later if you suddenly change your mind or find any flaws during testing.

First place the starting grid.

Choosing a place, choosing a place, choosing a place

Your first step in creating a race is placing a trigger. This is the location that players wishing to race in your race should visit in Free Roam, as well as the approximate location of the starting grid. If you are far away from where you would like to start the race, just press the Start button and select the desired location on the map to instantly move there. You can also take a photo that will be displayed as the background of the lobby where the players are waiting for the start of the race.

Next, you need to place control points that define the route of the race. Use the left stick (left stick) to move around the game world, the right stick (right stick) to pan the camera, and the L2 (left trigger) and R2 (right trigger) buttons to zoom. Take your time: carefully study the map and decide what terrain is best for the route, taking into account the parameters that you have set in the Race Options menu (but keep in mind that these can be changed at any time).

If you want to insert a new waypoint between two existing ones, make sure the new waypoint touches the blue line connecting the other two, otherwise it will be placed at the end of the route. If the blue line changes color to yellow, this means that the control point will be placed between the other two.

If you have selected Laps as the Route Type in the Race Options menu, keep in mind that your course must be looped. If you choose "From point to point", then the last control point will automatically turn into a finish line. Please note that a race, regardless of race type, must be at least 0.62 miles long and must have completed at least one challenge before posting (although we recommend testing the race multiple times to make sure there are no bugs).

Ideal accommodation

You have the opportunity to complete the game world by placing objects, weapons and boosters on the track. This allows you to make your creation unique, so do not neglect this feature!

If you want to arrange a GTA race, you can place weapons, first aid kits and boosters on the track. These are all found in the Placement > Weapons menu, and objects can be found in the Placement > Objects menu. With skillful placement of objects, you can block the passage on the bridge, build a springboard to make the competition Vinewood spectacular, or come up with something else - it's all up to your imagination. You can also place a stunt jump so that a specific camera angle is used when using a certain springboard. To do this, you need to place two markers: one at the end of the springboard from which the players will jump, and another one at the place where the camera will be located. Use the analog sticks to change the camera height.

Find the perfect place for a spectacular jump…

Earth, water or air?

Creating races on land and races on water is the same, with the only difference being that in one control point you can place only on land, and in the other - only on water. Also keep in mind that some objects can only be placed on a certain surface: buoys and water ramps, for example, are designed exclusively for competition on the water.

When creating air races, you must also set the height of each control point. To raise the point, use the left joystick, and to lower it, use the right joystick.

One, two, three, check

As with everything in game development, it takes a lot of testing and polishing to create something truly special. You can select the "Test" item at any time and ride along the track (all changes made will be saved). If you see something you don't like, you can return to the editor by pressing the down direction button (down on the D-pad) and redo the selected element - or even the entire race. You can also switch to the game view by pressing the Select (Back) button and place control points and objects while driving around the track in the selected vehicle. This method not only allows you to place control points on the fly, but also helps you place objects in places that the editor cursor cannot reach, such as in tunnels.

When testing a race, it's important to check that all spawn points work, especially if there is an obstacle or a large structure next to them.

From scratch

This can happen to anyone: suddenly it turns out that the track leads nowhere, and the hodgepodge of checkpoints looks even more pathetic than Trevor's hair. If you suddenly want to start over, you can delete all control points (or all) using the Placement > Delete Settings menu (you can also delete all weapons, all objects, all dynamic objects and all stunt jumps).

…And post the race to Social Club for everyone to enjoy.
  • Always make sure that the next control point is easy to see. The winner of your race should be determined by skill, not chance.
  • On sharp turns, set a control point in front of the apex. Then the player will be able to slow down in time and maintain the optimal trajectory of movement.
  • A well-placed control point will warn the player of an approaching turn much more effectively than, say, a pile of wrecked buses.
  • With the help of the description, you can tell the players how best to play your race. If, for example, you are using a large number of objects to create barricades and testing has shown that this race is best played with traffic disabled, let the players know about it.
  • Make sure your weapons and health packs are far enough apart that one player can't pick up both at the same time. The leader should not have too clear an advantage, otherwise your GTA race will not be interesting to play.
  • Weapons, especially missiles, should not be placed too often: it should be an "ace in the hole", and not a constant annoying element of the competition. Place weapons where players will need them most, such as at the start of a long, straight line.
  • Remember that all created races can become GTA races, but only if you place weapons on the track. Making your race playable in both Standard and GTA will give players an incentive to re-run.
  • Don't overdo the jumps. If there are too many of them or they stand in the wrong places, this will disrupt the flow of the race, and your creation will be remembered by the participants in a completely different way than they would like.
  • Accelerators should be placed on straight sections of the track and key overtaking areas where they will be most useful.
  • Don't place stunt jumps before turns, otherwise the player may lose sight of their car.
  • Race vehicles should always be selected according to the terrain in which the race takes place. Compact cars are best for the twisty street lanes, while SUVs are designed for driving on the slushy roads of Blaine County. If you are running a mixed lineup of vehicles, such as sports cars and SUVs, your race should alternate between different types of terrain so that neither competitor has an advantage. In addition, it is possible to lay the course in places where participants have the opportunity to choose an alternative route - for example, along mountainous sections, where motorcyclists can take shortcuts at the risk of their lives. Balance is the key to success, and the only way to achieve it is through thorough testing. Pass the race on different types of cars until you understand exactly how much time it takes for a particular type of vehicle to get to the finish line.
  • In air races, make pilots move vertically and horizontally so that there is no long monotonous movement in a straight line. Also, planes don't have brakes, so if you make a turn that's too tight, it will be very difficult, if not impossible, to get through your track. When you set up control points, it makes sense to switch to the in-game camera in order to understand how maneuverable this or that aircraft is.
  • If you want to put the pilots to the real test, put control points in places where the player will be in danger of crashing into something. For example, a series of checkpoints located above and below the bridge will weed out those players who cannot dive and climb. And if the control point is between two skyscrapers, players will have to bypass the buildings by turning the plane sideways.
  • The main thing is more imagination. Experiment and have fun!
