Increase your strength by inserting into gear soul crystals! Soul Crystals are one of the most important components of the power of your equipment. Raising their level will help you to raise the characteristics and not be inferior in strength to other players. Each player should know what soul crystals are, how to improve them, and why they are important in the game.
All items of equipment have slots for installing soul crystals. The number of slots depends on the rank of the equipment. You can get soul crystals when hunting in the field and in the dungeons of the clan.
Here we will tell you everything you need to know about Soul Crystals: about their types, ranks, levels, compatibility, as well as why this particular item sets the top players apart from everyone else.

Soul crystal ranks
Soul Crystals have a grade (from C to SR). With each next rank, the base characteristic of the crystal increases significantly. Upgrade your crystals and try to get SR grade soul crystals as soon as possible.
The rank of crystals, like equipment, can be raised (for example, collecting crystals of S rank from crystals of A rank, etc.).
Upgrading soul crystals requires adena, and they must be of the maximum level.
Soul Crystal Grade | C | B | A | S | R | SR |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Cost | 8,000 | 25,000 | 50,000 | 100,000 | - | N / A |
Increasing the level of soul crystals
Raise the level of soul crystals to improve their characteristics. Combine materials to increase the level of soul crystals and improve their characteristics. Remember you you can improve an already used soul crystal... Just click on the crystal you want to upgrade in your equipment and select “Upgrade”. Expert tips:
◦ Don't sell low quality soul crystals - they are best used to level up.
◦ In the early stages of the game, install crystals in all equipment, even if they are of low rank. This will give you maximum combat power. Soul Crystals are hard to find, and players often leave cells empty. This is a common mistake. When you have better quality crystals, you can replace them.
Don't forget about secondary stats. Develop soul crystals with the characteristics most useful for your character. Remember that the secondary stat cannot be changed! For example, for the Death Dancer, I would choose soul crystals with secondary characteristics to increase critical damage, critical strike chance or f. attack.
*Note:
1. The higher the rank of the equipment, the more soul crystals can be placed in it. (Maximum 6 in SR-grade equipment.)
2. Bonus stats are given based on the type and rank of the installed Soul Crystals.
3. The grade of the Soul Crystal can be from C to SR. Soul Crystals of the maximum level below the SR rank can be improved and their rank raised.
4. If you combine the tradable and non-tradable soul crystals, the resulting advanced level soul crystal cannot be sold.
5. If equipment and soul crystals differ in the type of marketability, the resulting item will become non-marketable.

the effect SA, or Special ability- Special Ability (or Ability). Each weapon has its own effects. The most common are the effect Acumen for magic weapons (increased casting speed), the effect Focus for bows and daggers (increase the chance of a critical hit), the effect Health for swords in tanks (increase in the number of HP) and Haste- for Tyrants' brass knuckles. In any case, everyone chooses the effect in their weapon, I give only the most frequently used (in my humble opinion) options type SA / type of weapon / profession.
I will tell you about what kind of weapon can get what effect later, in a whole series of articles on this topic, and now - for beginners, how and where to insert the CA into your weapon.
Grade C and B weapons are upgraded at the forge Town of Giran, at Blacksmith Pushkin... Having bought a weapon, and going up to it, you can find out what improvement opportunities are there and what is required for them.
When talking with him, choose Bestow special ability on weapon, then click View list and in the window that opens, we see our weapon in three variations. By clicking once on the icon - we get a description of this CA effect, and below - what is required to get this effect:
In the screenshot, alas, the crystal itself is not visible (too lazy to load the game client of another server now) - but to the right of Red soul crystal, you will have an icon for the crystal itself.
So, we found out what it takes to improve the weapon. The only thing to do is to get a crystal, buy Gemstone, prepare adena - and you can return to the blacksmith and find a new weapon with SA.
Crystals of levels 7-9 can be bought at Luxore(Luxury Store he is Luxury Shop), shop for ordinary D and C crystals. Just in case, I will dwell on this point in more detail.
The location of the store is indicated on the city map (Alt + M):
We run to the store and talk to Trader Alexandria, select from the menu Buy groceries, Click once on Soul Cristall, and see what is required to buy it:
I repeat - in this screenshot, the red CAs are not visible, but they are.
And so, in a conversation with the blacksmith, we learned that for CA (Special Ability) on the Acumen v Homku (Homunkulus's Sword) would need Red Soul Cristall 7 lv. Luxor learned that 500 crystals of D grade and 100 crystals of C grade are required to buy it.
Where to get ordinary crystals - I think it is not necessary to tell in detail (in the market, to break some thing with a gnome, it is unsuccessful to sharpen a weapon, etc.).
Having bought the Soul Crystal, we are heading to Groccery Store, and there at Trader Helvetia buy 306 Gemstone C (Gemstone C-grade).
Now you can return to the blacksmith, and repeating the conversation described above, get a new, improved weapon.
This example is suitable for all C and B grade weapons. The only difference is in the number and grade of gems, color and level Soul Crystall and the amount of adena to improve.
With A and S grade weapons, everything is a little more complicated, because only deals with such weapons Blacksmith of Mammon(he also removes Seal on things, how to find it and other little things - I wrote in detail). Moreover, if Gemstone C and B, as well as Soul Crystall the desired level, you can buy in stores - then the level A and S is a little more difficult. In general, the system is the same - get the Soul Crystal of the required level and color, gemstones of the required grade and in the required quantity, go to Mammon the Blacksmith - and get the SA into your weapon.
For S80 and S84 weapons, CA is inserted at Master Ishuma (Ishuma) at Gludio Air Harbor.
About what SA-the effect you can get in your weapon, and what Soul Crystall this will require - I will tell you later.
As you all (probably) know, starting with the C grade, you can insert CA crystals (CA - hurried abilities) into the weapon, which additionally increase some characteristics of the weapon. The most popular SAs among magicians are akumen, among warriors - a focus, but not all weapons can be inserted into such SAs. In general, each weapon has three, strictly defined inserts, and depending on the preference of the player, he chooses the best one of these three. You can see what additions with the help of CA you can make to a given weapon by clicking once on this weapon in the inventory, there below, after all the characteristics, the available inserts will be listed.
All CAs are inserted at the blacksmiths, up to the 10th level CA (C and B grade weapons) can be inserted in any forge, CA in the A and Y grades is inserted only by the blacksmith Mamon in the week of victory of seven seals. Only the blacksmith Mamon and his relative, the black huckster Mamon, who hides in secluded corners in every city, can take out the SA from the weapon.
Crystals come in three colors - blue, green and red, depending on the color, the weapon acquires one or another addition.
CA crystals from 7th to 10th levels are sold in a luxor in Giran from the merchant on the right, all the rest can be obtained only by taking the Enhance Your Weapon quest and manually charging the crystal.
Now let's deal with the levels of CA crystals. The lowest level that we may need is 5 levels of blue - this crystal can be inserted into the low-C dagger of the cursed dagger to roll back the skills of the destroyer.
The quest can be completed starting from the 40th character level. We go to the magic guild in Giran (it is located on the right side of the temple - we pass through the corridor and cross the bridge over the river) and look for the grandmaster there Jurek, we take the quest from him, as well as a certain amount of blue CA of the 0-th level. TP-we go to Aden, and from there to the Sil of Shilen. There is a well-known mob there (a growing cattle with an oar in his hands)
Now we remember one important rule - in order for the crystal to be charged, it must be in the inventory only one. Two or more crystals start to resonate and are not charged.
We throw all the crystals on the ground except one (well, or let the buffer hold them), and the remaining one is displayed on the quick panel under any convenient F key. We beat the Doom knight until he has 5-10% HP and press the keys with the SA. The animation is shown, as if we are draining HP from the mob (we are pulling the soul out of it), the mob dies, and one of three inscriptions appears in the chat system:
1 - the crystal has absorbed the soul, that is, it has charged, and has already become level 1.
2 - the crystal could not absorb the soul, the CA level remains 0.
3 - the crystal could not withstand the filling of the soul and collapsed. In this case, take the next one.
This is how we charge the crystal to the 5th level. This process is unpredictable, you can raise the 5th level in 10 minutes, or you can hammer a bunch of Doom knights, and the crystal will not be up. You will figure it out in the process.
The charging skill is obtained, let's move on. The most demanded of course are CAs from 11 to 13 levels. They are charged on raid bosses, and they can no longer collapse, well, at least something pleases.
We buy in Luxor CA of the 10th level of the desired color and go to charge it on the RB (do not forget to take the quest from Jurek, many fly by like this with charging). When you charge the CA on raid bosses, you no longer need to put the crystal on the quick panel and click on it, just let it lie in your inventory.
Raid bosses that charge SAs from 10 to 11 and from 11 to 12 levels.
Many C-grade weapons, and, with C4, all B-grade or higher weapons may have a special ability (SA) designed for them (in C3, the B-grade sword Sword of Valhalla remained without SA).
To add SA to your weapon, if they are not duals, you need a Soul Crystal of the desired level and color (in accordance with the desired SA). For pre-B grade weapons, you can ask the Blacksmith in Aden and Giran for a list of possible SAs (don't hold a weapon when you ask, or they won't find it), and what color is needed for each of them. Blacksmith of Mammon is required for A-Grades and S-Grades. It also requires hundreds of gemstones.
For duals, SA is obtained by over-enchanting weapons up to +4, with a 30% chance to break them.
You can get soul crystals of any of the three colors, only by asking the master in the Mages Guild in Giran Quest. You will also receive a list of mobs on which you can upgrade your soul crystal.
The increase in the level of the soul crystal occurs during the destruction of mobs from the list. When those remain at half health or below, you use the soul crystal (by right-clicking in your inventory or by placing it on the quick access bar). After the death of the mob, the following possible messages will appear:
- The soul crystal "fails to absorb the soul". This happens most often and means that nothing happened.
- The soul crystal shatters. The crystal is broken - take another one.
- The soul crystal levels. The crystal has increased its level.
- The soul crystal complains that the mob isn "t strong enough. Look for higher level mobs.
Attention: New information about C4, especially which SAs need crystals of what color, is not reliable at the moment.
Definitions
- Good magic: This refers to all spells that are buffs or heals. Bad (harmful) magic: includes spells that deal damage and debuffs (Dryad Root, Curse, etc.)
Mystics gain a general weapon skill that allows them to be completely free in their choice.
- Sword means "One-handed sword". All tanks, Gladiators, Swordsingers and Destroyers receive skills for using swords. However, destroyers cannot become swords, so they prefer Blunt.
- Twohander means "Two-handed sword". Only Destroyers receive special skills for this weapon, but anyone who can use one-handed swords also receives bonuses for using two-handed swords.
- Blunt (axes, hammers, clubs) means "One-handed Blunt". All Tanks, Gladiators, Swordsingers, Destroyers and all Dwarves get the skills to use Blunt. Warcraers, Overlords, Destroyers, Gladiators and Dwarves receive special skills that allow them to stun using Blunt weapons.
- Staff means "Two-Handed Blunt". Again, only destroyers receive a special bonus for two-handed weapons, and again anyone who can use a one-handed weapon can also carry a two-handed weapon. However, all staves, with the exception of the S-grade Dragon Hunter Ax, are magic weapons with high M.Atk and low P.Atk and magic SA. Accordingly, no one except the Mystics uses them.
- Dagger (dagger) can be used by daggers - Trager Hunter, Plaines Walker and Abys Walker.
- Bow (bow) can be used by archers - Havkai, Silver Ranger and Phantom Ranger. However, some warriors prefer to carry a bow with them for ranged attacks.
- Fist Weapon (brass knuckles) is used by Turant.
- Polearm (spear) is used by Warlord, as well as Destroyer and Dwarves. However, the warrior can carry a spear for AoE attacks.
- Dual Sword is used by Gladiators and Bladedensers.
