Fable Legends system requirements. System Requirements Fable Legends Who's the Last Hero

Development stopped and the project closed.

Fable Legends is an exclusive RPG arcade game developed by Lionhead Studios. The action takes place in the mysterious world of Albion, where the player will have the opportunity to feel in the shoes of a noble hero and an insidious villain.

The gameplay is the control of the character and the study of the surrounding world in both single and multiplayer modes. At the disposal of the user there are several classes specializing in melee and ranged combat, as well as the use of magical abilities. Skills can be combined to create unique combat links. The main feature is the management of a negative character, who has various traps and crowds of creatures in his arsenal. Interaction is carried out using the Kinect contactless touch controller, or the SmartGlass application.

The multiplayer mode involves the participation of up to four people at the same time. As in the solo playthrough, characters are subject to improvement, as well as equipment modifications. Thanks to the latest graphics engine, Unreal Engine 4, the visuals promise to meet the modern requirements of the gaming industry.

The game was supposed to offer to share the classic gameplay for the series in a cooperative passage with your friends. But even in a single player game, the player could not travel alone - he would be accompanied by three computer-controlled characters.

Fable Legend was supposed to be performed in a characteristic fairy-tale setting - not completely serious, but not entirely childish. The player's choice is the path of a good-natured hero and an altruist or the leader of a gang of notorious villains.

At the conference dedicated to the new operating system Windows 10, Fable Legends was announced on. The game was supposed to have support for the latest DirectX 12 technology.

Gameplay

Singleplayer and cooperative multiplayer in Fable legends should have flowed smoothly into each other.

"Your party can be composed entirely of real players, or be a mix of players and AI-controlled heroes.", - wrote Lionhead. "You can easily switch between singleplayer and multiplayer play styles whenever you want, or when your friend is connected [online].".

"During the quest, you can choose whether you fight a human or an AI villain.", - continued Lionhead. "As a villain, you can fight in batches of real players, AI opponents, or mixed groups.".

Support was also announced Kinect in mini-games, voice commands as a villain, customization of your character is declared, some types of characters are named: “Fearless heroes. Cunning deceivers. Masters of will. Samples of Valor. Heartless mercenaries. Drunken warriors. Cowardly pursuers ".

Quest building system

Despite the fact that all tasks are different, they should have had the same theme of intersection of interests of positive and negative characters. The "villains" will be able to prevent the "heroes" from achieving their goal, for example, using traps.

Locations

In the original version Fable legends only one central city was to be accessible. However, the developers planned to gradually expand the universe in additions to the game.

Development of

Director Fable legends David Eckelberry revealed that the game will be released as a TV series. And the starter release will be something like the first season. Next, the developers plan to start a regular release DLC... According to him, the game will have a strong emphasis on history, despite the fact that it is designed for cooperative multiplayer.

Studio Lionhead worked on the game without Peter Molyneux.

On December 15, 2015, the game developers announced that the game will be released in 2016, open beta testing of the game on platforms such as Xbox One and Windows 10 will begin in the spring of 2016. Also, those who applied in 2015 will be able to participate in February 2016 in a closed beta testing the maximum number of players will be 100 thousand.

On March 7, 2016, Microsoft announced that the release of the game was canceled. The reasons have not yet been disclosed, but the company emphasized that it will focus and invest only in games that players want to see.

The release date is the time limit after which the game is considered released, which usually means that it can already be downloaded and tested if a licensed copy is purchased. For example, the release date for Fable Legends is April 13, 2016.

Recently, more and more often, developers allow you to buy a game in advance - to make a pre-order. In response to the support from potential buyers, who believe in the success of the project so much that they give money for it even before the release, the developers are sharing various bonuses and exclusive materials. It could be a soundtrack, artbook, or some mini-addons for the game.

Thus, pre-order actually allows you to buy the game before its official release, but this does not mean that the announced release date loses its significance, since you can fully play only after the release.

Why do I need to know the release dates of games?

If only because it is more convenient to plan your time and finances this way. If you know, for example, when Fable Legends will be released, then it will be easier for you to navigate: save money in advance for its purchase, plan things so that you can dive into the game as soon as it comes out.

Many gamers keep track of the release dates of games using special calendars and thematic articles about the most important releases of the month or season. Both you can find on our game portal site

How do developers choose when to release?

They are guided by many factors at once. Firstly, it is important for them to know that their target audience will be able to immediately join the gameplay, so games are released less often during the vacation season, as well as in those months when they usually have a rush at work, and students have a session.

Secondly, for a successful release, developers try to compare their plans with the announcements of potential competitors. For example, if we are talking about a shooter, then releasing it simultaneously with the new Battlefield or Call of Duty is not very reasonable.

Thirdly, the release date marks the so-called deadline - the very line after which the game is ready. This means that it needs to be completed on time. Alas, this does not always work, and therefore the release date of the game can be shifted one or even several times.

In addition to this, the release of Fable Legends on PC and consoles may differ - often the developers try to release one version first, and only then move on to the next.

It has long been rumored that the studio, orphaned without Peter Molyneux Lionhead does not sit idle, but works on the creation of an MMORPG based on the series Fable... The appearance of a new game was inevitable, like the appearance of another part Halo, - at Microsoft there are not so many promoted exclusives to be scattered about, besides Fable 3 turned out to be successful and grossed five million copies, despite all the criticism.

I am very kind by nature ...

The MMO rumors were amazing, but the announcement Fable legends managed to surprise even more - the game will be made in the rarest genre of online session games with asymmetric gameplay. Regular session type World of tanks, League of legends and others have been known for a long time: two identical crowds of players fiercely shoot / chop / crush each other with caterpillars, and if God forbid the balancer makes a mistake and makes unequal teams, such a shout will rise that at least plug your ears.

However, in Fable Legends, there will be no balance initially. The game is designed for five people, and four good heroes will fight against one villain. However, the villain is far from being a fool and does not show himself so easily. Oh, it will be a real villain, with its own citadel, a labyrinth of dungeons full of loyal minions and deadly traps.

... I just have a very suspicious face.

In his hands is the entire game location: he sees everything, he controls the appearance of an army of monsters, chooses a convenient time to release the boss, can set up an ambush or traps, or deftly lower an impenetrable lattice, dividing the team of heroes into two parts. All this can be controlled both from a gamepad and using a tablet with SmartGlass support.

Who is the last hero here?

With the heroes, everything is more complicated. The ability to deeply customize characters has always been a hallmark of the Fable series, but Fable Legends will not have it. Somehow to correct the appearance of the hero, of course, it is possible - to change the hairstyle there, apply magic makeup or something else - but in general, all the characters will have the same design, their weapons and their role on the battlefield. You can't even change your gender.

Vile Goblin vs. Tough Crossbowman? A handsome goblin versus a vile human? It depends on which side you look at.

At the moment, the developers have shown four classes, but there will be more of them by the time of release. In the meantime, welcome a warm company: a dexterous duelist with a rapier and throwing knives, a stern crossbowman, a glamorous sorceress wielding cold spells, and a girl-knight in shining armor playing the role of a tank. The developers vaguely hint at the class of mercenaries, some kind of "brawlers", and besides, drunk - in general, with fantasy in Lionhead has always been in complete order. Especially when it comes to creating colorful characters.

Making their way through the villain's line of defense, the heroes will have to combine their abilities more than once in order to achieve maximum results. For example, if the sorceress freezes enemies for a while, the crossbowman can kill them from afar with one hit of an exploding arrow.

You go with your online!

Players are conservative by nature, and console players are doubly conservative. No matter how many developers are struggling with the problem of how to drag them online, many still prefer to play with themselves. Especially for them, Fable Legends provides a single player mode: you can play as a villain against bots, you can play as heroes, switching between them as needed (uncontrolled heroes are taken over by AI). If you were already completely delighted, let's add a fly in the ointment: the game requires a constant Internet connection, even if you decide to play in splendid isolation.

Although Peter Molyneux became an independent developer, his presence is still felt - in every tree, in every stone, in every monster ...

Who is it easy for now? Remember, everyone who does not play online games is now declared the enemy of the gaming industry. Vaughn director of EA generally said that there will be no more offline games ever ... Wait, what are we talking about? Oh yes. With the help of bots, it will also be possible to fill empty spaces in the team, so the lack of players or the departure of one of them in the middle of the battle will not be a disaster. Although how much these bots will fight is a big question. Apparently, it will be possible to connect to the passage of the quest at any time - a useful thing that allows you to easily recruit parties and avoid long fees. All went on a hike, and the laggards are connected along the way.

The game is positioned as online, and even session-based, but the developers argue that the plot also plays an important role. “We focus on the plot, and it doesn't matter if you play alone or in a team. The plot is really very important to us. It's an integral part of Fable, ”says project leader David Eckleberry. The game does not have an open world in the usual sense of the word, but there will be no loading screens and countdowns until the start of the battle either. “For the players, everything will happen in the most natural way. First you take the quest, then go outside the city gates and find this very quest. But it won't be a giant world like World of Warcraft where you can jump from one quest to another and stuff like that, ”says David.

I want Fable 4!

Fable Legends is a prequel to all parts of the series. Its events unfold four hundred years before the events of the very first Fable. Albion was still young, heroes and adventures were met in abundance, and great deeds, about which songs and legends would be composed, had yet to be accomplished. A world of endless possibilities and endless freedom ... No? Didn't get through? Still want Fable 4, with graphics as in Battlefield 4 and hundreds of hours of epic quests?

Four heroes in the collection.

Well, what can you do, either you want to continue, or accept and take what you have. The developers have confirmed that they are not going to make Fable 4. “Fable Legends is the only game in the series in development, and we have no plans to create a sequel to Fable 3. However, the game borrowed a lot from the first, second and third Fable. This is the world of Albion, exciting stories, quests, humor, light-hearted action and memorable characters, ”reads a message on the game's website.

The concept of the game is very interesting, plus some, but it's still Fable: in taverns you can still play mini-games, and even with the use of Kinect, you can chase chickens, and adventure will still await every corner. So we are waiting for the details and the start of the beta test, which is scheduled for next year. True, they do not say the exact date, and indeed the whole announcement turned out to be very crumpled: a beautiful CG video, and nothing more. And while Microsoft willingly shared details about the game, the gameplay was never shown to us. It may well be that there is simply nothing to show yet, and the announcement was made for the sake of strengthening the prestige. Now is the time - you have to lay out all the available cards, even the aces hidden in the sleeves.

Operating system Windows 10 (64 bit)
CPU Intel Core i5
RAM 8 Gb
Free hard disk space 15 Gb
Video card NVIDIA Geforce GTX 950
DirectX version 11

Fable Legends requires a lot of computer resources to function properly. Its graphics are at a normal level, but you can enjoy it only with a good video card from the category of Nvidia GeForce GT 630 or better. You can find information about the video card if you use the context menu on the desktop in the "Options" tab, or it is better to open the system settings of the computer and look at the "Display" tab.

In addition to the video card, the computer must have Direct X version 10 or higher. On Windows XP, versions higher than 9.0 are not supported, which means that for Windows 7 or Vista you will have to install more advanced versions of Direct X on your computer. You can download Direct X from the official website, where you can choose the current version that suits your operating system.

The game runs on Windows 10 (64 bit) operating systems. The game will not work on older versions, and it will not work correctly on newer versions.

RAM is an important piece of hardware. The game requires about 6 Gb. The hard disk requires about 15 Gb of memory to install the application. You can find out if there is enough memory on the hard disk using the context menu that is called when you click on the local disk in the "My Computer" window.

Intel Core i3-560 3.3GHz or better processor is capable of adequately handling Fable Legends data and not overloading.

Ways to check system requirements

1. The system parameters of the computer can be found using the Win + R key combination, after which you must enter dxdiag and press Enter.

2. On the desktop, right-click on the icon my computer, in the window that opens, select Properties.

If the computer starts to perform poorly while the application is running, you can reduce the settings to their minimum levels, which will increase performance at the expense of graphics degradation. If this option does not fix the problem, then you can check out other similar games on the site that will meet the system requirements of your PC.
